The inlet unit comprises an inlet body having a dust inlet port and removably coupled to an inlet pipe of the vacuum cleaner; and an auxiliary inlet body coupled extendably and contractibly to the inlet body so as to variably cope with a corner having a desired angle, and having an auxiliary inlet port communicated with the dust inlet port in an extending and contracting direction. Therefore, an suction area of the inlet unit can be properly increased or decreased so as to rapidly and simply perform a corner of a room. The present filter assembly comprises a rotating filter rotatively coupled against said outlet port and provided with an inlet grill formed on the outer circumferential surface and an outlet in communication with an outlet port; an operation bar arranged in the axial direction within said dust collection container and provided with one end coupled to said rotating filter and with another end passing through said dust collection container and exposed to the outside; and a handling knob coupled to said another end of said operation bar enabling said operation bar to be rotated wholly with said rotating filter. According to the present invention, the dust collected on the outer surface of the rotating filter may be removed by rotating the rotating filter with the handling knob and thus improves dust-collecting efficiency.

摘要： Disclosed is a locking device for extension pipe of a vacuum cleaner which can be easily operated, especially in separating the extension pipe supporting holder, and be compactly manufactured since the components do not require much space. The locking device according to the present invention comprises a holder connected to an operation handle and having a locking hole formed on one side to correspond to a fixing hole of the operation handle, and a locking/unlocking lever having a hook portion movable into and out of the locking hole, and a button portion formed opposite to the hook portion along the diameter, the locking/unlocking lever movable between a locked position and an unlocked position, a locked position in which the hook portion is inserted into the locking hole, and an unlocked position in which the hook portion is escaped out of the locking hole. The button portion is disposed such that a force for unlocking the combination is applied in the same direction as the holder separating direction. Additionally, The button portion and the hook portion are disposed opposite to the hinge pins along the length of the locking/unlocking lever. In addition, an elastic portion is formed on opposite locations of the locking/unlocking lever so as to secure the locking/unlocking lever in the locked position by an elastic contact with the outer circumference of the holder.

A dust collecting filter comprises a first case member with an air inlet hole connected through with an air inlet port of the dust collecting chamber, a second case member with a plurality of air discharge holes formed on the side for forming paths for discharging air flown in through the air inlet hole, the second case member connected with the first case member to form predetermined space in between the first case member and the second case member, and a contaminant separating means disposed on air discharge path of the predetermined space for separating and collecting contaminants from air passing the air discharge path and being discharged through the air discharge hole. The first case forms a cylinder and has a plurality of groove portions on the side, and the second case forms a cylinder and has a plurality of resilient plates with hooks for hooking on the groove portions whereby the first case member and the second case member are selectively separatable.

In the cleaning mode, the pivoting means pivots to close to have one end narrowed in diameter, and in the standby mode, the pivoting means pivots to open to have one end extended in diameter.
