    Abstract: A kiosk maintains a list of pre-paid orders. A first authentication process enables a consumer to select their order on the kiosk so as to receive the product or service that was remotely paid for via a mobile application. Authentication of the consumer selecting the order is performed based upon sending an order authentication notification to the mobile application that completed the order. If the user of the mobile application provides a positive authentication reply, the kiosk is unlocked to fulfill the order. The consumer may alternatively be authenticated by providing a personal identification number (PIN) that is associated with the order or associated with a user of the mobile application. Authentication using the PIN enables a consumer to interact with the kiosk to receive the previously ordered product or service without having to access their mobile phone or mobile application that was used to place the order.

    Abstract: An intelligent hot beverage maker is provided including: a beverage machine; a series of mutually stacked magazines, for the storage of multiple beverage pods, the magazine being dimensioned and configured to fasten releasably to the beverage machine; a slot, through which a pod passes from the magazine into the beverage machine; an actuator, for forcing a pod through the slot selectively; selection means, for selecting between beverages on a given menu; and identification means, for identifying which pod in the magazine is appropriate for a given beverage selection; and intelligent software for controlling the operation of the maker, wherein selection means may be manipulated remotely, and by multiple users simultaneously.

    Abstract: A cocktail dispensing assembly includes a housing that is positionable in an establishment licensed to sell alcohol and a dispensing outlet is integrated into the housing. An alcohol dispensing unit is integrated into the housing to dispense a pre-determined volume of a distilled spirit outwardly through the dispensing outlet. A mixer dispensing unit is integrated into the housing to dispense a pre-determined volume of a cocktail mixer outwardly through the dispensing outlet. In this way the distilled spirit and the mixer can be dispensed in the beverage container. A point of sale unit is integrated into the housing to conduct a financial transaction to purchase a cocktail. An identification reader is integrated into the housing to read a state issued identification card. A facial recognition unit is integrated into the housing to scan a face of a user for to inhibiting an unauthorized user from purchasing alcohol.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for providing a selectable beverage from a post-mix beverage dispenser are provided. In one embodiment, the method for providing a beverage having a separately selected color from a post-mix beverage dispensing system comprises: (a) providing at least two beverage bases for dispense from the post-mix beverage dispensing system; (b) separately storing at least two colorants in the post-mix beverage dispensing system; (c) receiving a request for a selected beverage base and the separately selected color with a computer processor; and (d) in response to the selection of the selected beverage base and the separately selected color, automatically dispensing through a single faucet of the post-mix beverage dispensing system, continuously in a predetermined ratio for any volume of the beverage dispensed, the selected beverage base and at least one of the colorants to provide the beverage having the separately selected color.
