摘要: To locate a shunt, the shunt includes an RF transmitter configured to wirelessly transmit an identifier of the shunt such as the configured shunt frequency. The shunt may include switches or memory locations that may be configured by an installer to correspond to the configured shunt frequency. Other embodiments employ switches or sensors influenced by jumpers installed in the shunt to configure the frequency of the shunt. A portable device receives a transmission including the identifier and displays it along with an indication of the received signal strength of the transmission, and maintenance personnel move the portable device along the track to locate the highest received signal strength, which indicates the location of the shunt. The shunt may also include a test circuit that may be configurable to generate a test frequency, determine a parameter indicative of shunt performance, and output a signal based on the parameter.

摘要: A system and method for managing operations of a train relative to a fouling mark is disclosed. The system comprises one or more sources, an End-of-Train device mounted at a rear-end of the train, and a Head-of-Train device mounted at a front-end of the train communicatively coupled to the End-of-train device and the one or more sources. The Head-of-Train device is configured to detect the fouling mark based on inputs from the one or more sources. The Head-of-Train device is further configured to dynamically determine whether the train clears the fouling mark, upon detecting the fouling mark. The Head-of-Train device is further configured to identify one or more actions to be performed using a predefined logic, before the train clears the fouling mark. The Head-of-Train device is further configured to execute one or more machine-readable instructions for performing the one or more actions identified.

摘要: Examples described herein provide a method for overspeed protection of a motor of a gate crossing mechanism. The method includes monitoring, by an overspeed protection circuit, a voltage across a first Zener diode and a second Zener diode. An anode of the first Zener diode is connected to an anode of the second Zener diode. The method further includes, responsive to determining that a Zener voltage threshold is exceeded, allowing a current to flow into a gate pin of a triac. The triac controls the motor of the gate crossing mechanism.
