    摘要: Examples described herein provide a computer-implemented method for thermal lockout for a motor of a gate crossing mechanism. The method includes monitoring a motor current across a sense resistor of the motor. The method further includes determining a present thermal capacity unit (TCU) at a time interval based on the motor current across the sense resistor. The method further includes determining whether the motor is at a thermal limit by comparing the present TCU to an expected TCU. The method further includes responsive to determining that the motor is at the thermal limit, causing initiating a hard fault.

The method includes identifying an illumination pattern generated by the visibility marker associated with an End-of-Train device on a leading train, wherein the illumination pattern is identified based on output of one or more secondary sensors on the follower train, and wherein the illumination pattern is indicative of an event affecting an operation of the leading train. Based on the identified illumination pattern one or more instructions to be executed are determined.     摘要: Examples described herein provide a method for direction control of a motor of a gate crossing mechanism. The method includes providing, by a field-effect transducer (FET) driver, a first voltage via a high output to a normally open contact of a first relay and to a normally closed contact of a second relay. The first voltage causes a shaft of the motor to turn in a first direction. The method further includes providing, by the FET driver, a second voltage via a low output to a normally closed contact of the first relay and to a normally open contact of the second relay. The second voltage causes the shaft of the motor to turn in a second direction opposite the first direction.

The gate retraction device comprises a frame to hold a gate pivot pin that is configured to provide a bi-directional rotation of the crossing gate arm. The gate retraction device further comprises a main pivot assembly that receives the gate pivot pin on one end so as to enable rotation of the main pivot assembly in a horizontal plane. The main pivot assembly comprises a first side and a second side opposite of the first side and wherein the main pivot assembly further comprises a spring pin extending on the first side and the second side of the main pivot assembly. The gate retraction device further comprises a spring-loaded assembly trapped against the spring pin of the main pivot assembly as the main pivot assembly rotates.
