Abstract:
An apparatus for securing a fishing hook for the purpose of allowing the threading of a fishing line into an eyelet of a fishing hook including a container body having an interior volume suitable for receiving fishing hooks therein, a lid detachably connected to the container body for sealing an interior of the container body, and a fishing hook securing member attached to the lid for detachably receiving a hook portion of a fishing hook therein such that the eyelet portion of the fishing hook extends outwardly of the container body. A magnet is affixed within an interior of the lid. The fishing hook securing member includes a bolt member extending outwardly of the lid and a nut member threadedly connected to the bolt member. The fishing hook is secured between the nut member and a surface of the lid. The nut member includes a wingnut detachably secured to the bolt member and having arms extending radially outwardly of a central portion. At least one of the arms has a fishing line cutter formed thereon.
Abstract:
An improved lawn mower blade including a cutting blade detachably affixed to a surface of the lawn mower blade and extending outwardly beyond a forward edge of the lawn mower blade, and a cover plate affixed to the cutting blade on the surface of the cutting blade opposite the lawn mower blade. The cover plate is in compressive contact with a surface of the cutting blade. The cutting blade has a thickness less than the thickness of the lawn mower blade. The cutting blade has a beveled edge extending outwardly beyond the forward edge of the lawn mower blade. The cutting blade is secured between the cover plate and the lawn mower blade by a plurality of bolts extending therethrough. A second cutting blade is detachably affixed to a surface of the lawn mower blade at an opposite end of the lawn mower blade and a second cover plate is affixed to a surface of the second cutting blade.
Abstract:
A fishing hook has a shank portion with a hook at one end, and a hairpin loop portion formed on an opposite end of the shank portion. The hairpin loop portion extending downwardly from the opposite end of the shank portion. The hairpin loop portion has a width or diameter that is less than a width or diameter of the shank portion. The hairpin loop portion has an end extending at an angle away from the shank. The hairpin loop portion has a longitudinal axis coplanar with a longitudinal axis of the shank portion. The shank portion and the hairpin loop portion define a line-receiving slot.
Abstract:
A gardening shears includes a first blade, a driving arm pivoted to the first blade, a second blade pivoted to the first blade, and a link arm pivotally connected between the driving arm and the second blade. The bottom portion of the second blade has a sliding groove and positioning recesses. A switching device installed inside the driving arm is locatable at a first usage position where an end of the link arm is stationarily engaged with a positioning recess next to the top end of the sliding groove for enabling a direct cutting mode for cutting a small-sized branch, and a second usage position where the end of the link arm is slidable in the sliding groove and selectively engageable with one of the positioning recesses for enabling a stepwise cutting mode for stepwise cutting off a large-sized branch by changing the force-applying fulcrum.
Abstract:
A retractable bar includes an inner tube, an outer tube and a positioning assembly. The outer tube has a longitudinal sliding groove and multiple locating notches. The outer tube is axially movably sleeved onto the inner tube. The positioning assembly has a positioning block and a press button. The positioning block is accommodated in the longitudinal sliding groove, and the positioning block has a positioning protrusion and a threaded hole. The press button has a threaded portion engaged with the threaded hole and is movable between a first position where the positioning protrusion is forced into engagement with one of the locating notches to lock the outer and inner tubes and a second position where the positioning protrusion is disengaged from each locating notch for allowing the axial relative movement of the outer tube to the inner tube for adjustment of the length of the retractable bar.
Abstract:
A retractable bar using a positioning spring leaf and a control device to control positioning between an inner tube and an outer tube is disclosed. The control device includes a movable member, a push button, and a linking device connected between the movable member and the push button. When the push button is not pushed by an external force, the positioning spring leaf will be pushed by the movable member to force its positioning protrusions into engagement with locating notches of the inner tube to lock the outer and inner tubes. When the push button is pushed by an external force, the linking device will be forced to move the movable member away from the positioning spring leaf, causing the positioning spring leaf to disengage the positioning protrusions from the locating notches of the inner tube.
Abstract:
A grafting pruner includes a first handle and a second handle pivotally connected together, a fixed cutter holder affixed to the first handle, a link affixed to the second handle, a cutter assembly mounted between the fixed cutter holder and the link. A pivot device is inserted through an arched sliding slot of the fixed cutter holder, an axle hole of the link and a longitudinal sliding slot of the cutter blade assembly to secure the fixed cutter blade, the link and the cutter blade assembly together. During relative movement between the first and second handles subject to an external force, the link will be forced by the second handle to move along the arched sliding slot, pushing the cutter blade assembly toward the first handle to cut a living shoot or bud off a plant.
Abstract:
A flower shears includes a stationary unit, a movable unit and a driving unit. The stationary unit has a first blade portion at an upper part thereof, a first transmission portion with teeth at a middle part thereof, and a first handle at a lower part thereof. The movable unit is pivotally connected at a middle part thereof to the stationary unit and provided at an upper part thereof with a second blade portion. The driving unit is pivotally connected to a bottom end of the movable unit and provided with a second handle at a lower part thereof and a second transmission portion with teeth meshed with the teeth of the first transmission portion, such that the second blade portion of the moveable unit can be driven by the second handle through the engagement of the teeth of the first and second transmission portions to pivotally move toward the first blade portion of the stationary unit for cutting things.
