Abstract:
A manual pump action dispenser for dispensing at least one liquid from a container, the dispenser comprising a base and a cap (114) having an outlet (144) for the liquid, the base being mountable to or forming part of a container and the cap (114) being mountable to the base for movement relative to the base between a rest position and an actuated position, the dispenser further comprising a flexible insert (116) locatable between the base and the cap (114) to define a first pump chamber (122) for dispensing said at least one liquid, the insert being adapted to engage with the base to define an inlet through which said at least one liquid to be dispensed can enter the first pump chamber, the dispenser further comprising an inlet valve operable to enable liquid to enter the first pump chamber (122) through the inlet and an outlet valve arrangement operable to control the release of liquid from the first pump chamber through the outlet, in which the insert also defines a second pump chamber (123) for dispensing a second fluid.
Abstract:
This invention relates to pump-action nozzle devices and methods of making the same. The dispenser nozzles of the invention comprises a body which defines an internal chamber having an inlet through which fluid may be drawn into said chamber and an outlet through which fluid present in the chamber may be expelled from the nozzle. The inlet comprises an inlet valve and the outlet comprises an outlet valve. Fluid is dispensed from the dispenser nozzles by pulling the trigger handle of a trigger actuator to resiliently deform or displace a portion of the body of the device that defines the chamber, thereby compressing the chamber and actuating the dispensing of fluid. In preferred embodiments, the outlet comprises an outlet passageway that extends from the chamber to an outlet orifice. One or more spray-modifying features are preferably formed within the outlet passageway.

This invention relates to pump-action dispenser nozzle and methods of making the same. The body of the dispenser nozzle is made entirely from a rigid or a flexible material. In preferred embodiments it is made from a single material and comprises a single component part. Fluid is dispensed from the dispenser nozzles by resiliently deforming or displacing a portion of the body of the device that defines the chamber, thereby compressing the chamber and actuating the dispensing of fluid. The dispenser nozzle may be adapted to be fitted to a container or integrally formed there with.
Abstract:
A nozzle arrangement adapted to be fitted to a pressurized vessel and to permit fluid to be dispensed through it under pressure, is presented. The nozzle arrangement includes a body having an inlet, an outlet, an internal fluid flow passageway through which fluid can flow from the inlet to the outlet, and an actuator portion adapted, upon operation, to engage and open an outlet valve of the pressurized vessel. The nozzle arrangement further includes a resiliently deformable wall member that undergoes a resilient deformation from an initial resiliently-biased configuration to a distended configuration in response to the operation of the actuator portion, and to revert to the initial resiliently-biased configuration when the operation of the actuator portion has ceased and cause any fluid remaining in the passageway to be expelled.
