Abstract: The disclosure provides methods for preparing a plural component material where part A and part B supplies are delivered from unpressurized storage containers. In use, a continuous stream of high velocity air moves through the static mixing nozzle, and the material streams may be intermittently moved into the nozzle and aerated with an air supply to cause the A and B materials to be mixed with each other and moved with the air to form the plural component materials. The plural component materials are delivered from a static mixing nozzle at pressures of less than 300 psi. Spray guns configured for preparing the plural component materials are also disclosed. Polyurethane foams, polyurethane adhesives, and polyurea coatings prepared by the methods are further provided.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of vented refill units and dispensers having vented refill units are disclosed herein. An exemplary refill unit includes a non-collapsing inverted container. The container has a neck located at the bottom of the container. A pump is secured to the neck. The pump has a housing that has a cylindrical outside surface. In addition, the housing has an attachment mechanism for attaching the pump to a venting insert. The venting insert has a cylindrical inside surface and a cylindrical outside surface. At least a portion of the venting insert is located within the neck. An air passage is located between the pump housing and the cylindrical inside surface of the venting insert. One or more apertures are located through the venting insert. A one-way air inlet valve is located proximate the one or more apertures.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a non-aerosol foam pump for use in association with an unpressurized liquid container and a foaming element comprising. The pump includes a liquid pump portion and an air pump portion. The liquid pump portion has a liquid chamber with a liquid internal volume and a shuttle liquid piston. The liquid chamber is in flow communication with the unpressurized liquid container and in flow communication with the foaming element. The air pump portion has an air chamber with an air internal volume. The air chamber is in flow communication with the foaming element. The liquid pump portion and the air pump portion have an activation stroke and a return stroke. During the activation stroke the air internal volume is reduced and during a beginning stage of the stroke the liquid internal volume remains the same and during a later stage the liquid internal volume is reduced.

Abstract: A foam generator includes a container having a liquid. The container includes a container neck. A bubble generator is mounted to the container. The bubble generator has a liquid piston and an air piston that are mechanically connected together to simultaneously dispense the liquid and a flow of air. The liquid piston extends into the container as a bubble generator input stem. The liquid is received into the bubble generator input stem at a liquid piston intake of the bubble generator input stem. The air piston and the liquid piston feed both air and liquid to a mixing chamber that provides both air and liquid to a pair of mixing screens mounted on a bubble generator output stem. The bubble generator output stem is oriented below the bubble generator input stem. An inverted straw cover fits over the liquid piston intake of the input stem.
