摘要： A communication system comprises a plurality of DSL links comprising a first group and second group of DSL links, each group comprising more than one DSL link. The communication system also comprises a first node and a second node each having at least one application port and a plurality of DSL ports. Each DSL port is coupled to a respective one of the DSL links such that the first and second nodes are communicatively coupled via the DSL links. Each of the first and second nodes is configured to interleave a first copy of data received over the respective application port across the first group and to interleave a second copy of the data across the second group. When a failure is detected on a DSL link in the first group, each of the first and second nodes is configured to switch from the first group to the second group.

摘要： System and methods for High-speed Digital Subscriber Line Software Download are provided. In one embodiment, a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Transceiver Unit is provided. The transceiver unit comprises at least one DSL transceiver, wherein the at least one DSL transceiver implements an Embedded Operations Channel (EOC) and a data path over at least one DSL pair; a first memory for storing a software file for transfer over the DSL pair, wherein the software file comprises a header and at least one file record; and a second memory for storing a provisioning table, wherein the provisioning table establishes timeslot allocations for a plurality of channels communicated over the data path, including provisions for a software download channel for transmitting the software file from the first memory to a target unit over the data path.

摘要： An expandable clothes frame includes a pair of laterally disposed end support assemblies for engagement with a ground surface, two longitudinally disposed foldable assemblies each extending between and hingedly engaged with each of the end support assemblies, wherein each foldable assembly is provided in two portions having relative movement therebetween to allow folding of each foldable assembly about a fold axis between the pair of end support assemblies, a linkage assembly extending longitudinally between the foldable assemblies, and a locking assembly for securing the two portions of at least one of the foldable assemblies relative to each other so as to secure the frame in the extended configuration. Upon the frame being urged towards an extended configuration the engageable and cooperative portions are urged towards each other and engage so as to secure the two portions relative to each other and maintain the frame in the extended configuration.

摘要： A cross-technology coverage mapping system and method for modulating scanning behavior of a wireless user equipment (UE) device in a radio network environment. In one exemplary embodiment, the wireless UE device is operable to determine its geographic area location. A logic module of the wireless UE device is adapted for interrogating a database to determine which radio access technologies (RATs) have coverage in the geographic area location. Responsive to the interrogation, scanning by the wireless UE device is restricted to only those RATs that have coverage in the particular geographic area.

摘要： In order to achieving wide dimming range for compact and tubular fluorescent lamps, two novel control approaches are proposed. (i) Novel techniques for suppressing oscillatory effects in the Triac circuit so as to maintain stable Triac operation over a wide firing angle range and (ii) a hybrid dimming control technique in the ballast inverter circuit for achieving wide dimming range from 100% to about 3%. Concerning point (i) both dissipative and non-dissipative energy absorption schemes (EAS) are proposed to suppress the transient effects in the Triac circuit when the Triac is turned on. The essence of the EAS is to ensure that the Triac circuit can be operated in a stable manner without oscillations or inadvertent turn-off. With respect to pint (ii) a hybrid dimming method is proposed in which unlike traditional control methods that use inverter frequency control only for dimming purposes, both dc link voltage and inverter frequency are varied. The essence of the new dimming control is to reduce the range of the inverter frequency variation so that the overall dimming range can be made as wide as possible.

A plurality of mirrors, including a two-position switchable mirror adapted to sequentially scan a first column, and then a second column, is mounted on a carriage which also includes a conventional lens and CCD for sequentially scanning an object to be scanned in a two-pass scan. The resulting scanned portions, when combined, produce a high resolution image of the scanned image.

摘要： Compositions and methods are described that provide prognostic determination of the severity of influenza infection based on the PDE3A status of an individual. Impaired PDE3A function is associated with severe symptoms on contracting influenza. Specific SNP mutations are identified that are associated with impaired PDE3A function, and primers and kits are provided that permit identification of these SNPs. Such information can also be combined with other patient data.
