Abstract: An electrical connection assembly in an electrical switchgear comprising a circuit breaker movable between a disconnected, withdrawn, position and a connected, service, position, wherein said circuit breaker comprises, for each phase, a first connection terminal couplable to/uncouplable from a corresponding second, stationary, connection terminal of said switchgear, characterized in that said electrical connection assembly comprises a first contact element electrically and mechanically connected to said first connection terminal of said circuit breaker, a second contact element electrically and mechanically connected to said second, stationary, connection terminal of said switchgear, and a third, intermediate, contact element that is electrically and mechanically connected with one of said first and second contact elements and that is electrically and mechanically couplable to/uncouplable from the other of said first and second contact elements, and further characterized in that said first and second contact elements respectively forms a first and a second contact pair with a portion of said third intermediate contact element, each of said first and second contact pair having a male contact element and a female contact element having a hollow cavity into which said male element is instertable with sliding contacts positioned at the interface between said male and female contact elements, the external surface of said female contact element having linear and curved portions devoid of any sharp edge and being symmetrical with respect to a central longitudinal axis.

Abstract: Systems, methods, techniques and apparatuses of contactors are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is a contactor including an electric pole, a pair of plungers, and a pair of opening springs. The electric pole includes a fixed yoke member and a movable yoke member arranged respectively at a proximal position and a distal position with respect to a movable contact. The fixed yoke member includes a pair of through holes. The pair of second plungers are inserted in a corresponding through hole passing through the fixed yoke member and symmetrically positioned with respect to a main symmetry plane of the contactor, which is parallel to a displacement axis of the movable contact and perpendicular to a displacement plane of the movable contact. The pair of opening springs are symmetrically positioned with respect to the main symmetry plane.

Abstract: A contactor for medium voltage electric systems including: one or more electric poles; for each electric pole, a fixed contact and a corresponding movable contact reversibly movable between a first position, at which the movable contact is decoupled from the fixed contact, and a second position, at which the movable contact is coupled with the fixed contact; an electromagnetic actuator including a magnetic yoke having a fixed yoke member and a movable yoke member, the movable yoke member reversibly movable between a third position corresponding to the first position of the movable contacts, at which the movable yoke member is decoupled from the fixed yoke member, and a fourth position, corresponding to the second position of the movable contacts, at which the movable yoke member is coupled with the fixed yoke member, the electromagnetic actuator including an excitation circuit assembly including an excitation coil wound around the magnetic yoke and electrically connected with an auxiliary electric power supply to be fed with an excitation current to generate an excitation magnetic flux to move the movable yoke member from the third position to the fourth position or to maintain the movable yoke member in the fourth position; an opening springs operatively coupled with the movable yoke member to move the movable yoke member from the fourth position to the third position; a kinematic chain to operatively connect said movable yoke member with said movable contacts. The electromagnetic actuator including camping circuit assembly comprising a damping coil arranged to form a conductive loop adapted to be at least partially enchained with the excitation magnetic flux generated by the excitation current flowing along the excitation coil, when the auxiliary electric power supply provides the excitation current to the excitation coil, so that a secondary current circulates along the damping coil when the excitation magnetic flux is subject to a transient.
