摘要： The present disclosure relates to techniques for accessing modes of operation and techniques for providing an alarm interface for electronic devices. In some embodiments, a device detects that a battery is being charged and that the device is oriented in a predefined orientation. In accordance with the detection that the battery is being charged and that the device is oriented in the predefined orientation, the device activates a predefined mode of operation. In some embodiments, a device displays a first user interface object in a first color, and, at a predetermined time, the device displays the first user interface object in a second color and displays an option for dismissing an alarm, wherein the option for dismissing is displayed as a second user interface object located at a portion of a display of the device proximate to a hardware button of the device.

According to one aspect, the user interface is a display device that can both display visual information and serve as a mechanical actuator to generate input signals is disclosed. According to another aspect, the user interface is an input device that includes a movable touch pad control signal capable of detecting the movements of the movable touch pad so as to generate one or more distinct second control signals. The control signals being used to perform actions in an electronic device operatively coupled to the input device.
