Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode control information of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) received via a resource within a control resource set (CORESET) occupying a subset of a plurality of OFDM symbols within a slot. At least one of the symbols in the subset coincides with a pre-defined symbol location associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) of a PDSCII. The DM-RS can be detected within the slot, the DM-RS starting at a symbol location that is shifted from the pre-defined symbol location and following the subset of symbols. Downlink data scheduled by the PDCCH and received via the PDSCH can be decoded, where the decoding is based on the detected DM-RS.

If a higher layer parameter altMCS-Table is configured, and a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) is assigned by a downlink control information (DCI) format 1, 1B, 1D, 2, 2A, 2B, 2C, or 2D, the UE may, for some subframe/frame configurations, determine a number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) for the transport block as a maximum of: 1; and a floor function applied to a product of a total number of allocated PRBs, a parameter dependent on a special subframe configuration, and a scaling parameter. For other subframe/frame configurations, the UE may determine the number of PRBs for the transport block as a maximum of: 1; and the floor function applied to a product of the total number of allocated PRBs and the scaling parameter.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus of a Fifth Generation (5G) NodeB (gNB) comprises one or more baseband processors to encode one or more channel state information reference signals (CSI-RS) to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE). The one or more CSI-RS signals comprise a complex sequence mapped to a resource element (RE) such that all CSI-RS ports use an identical sequence for the one or more CSI-RS signals in a symbol. In other embodiments, the gNB comprises one or more baseband processors to encode a scrambling identity (ID) configuration for one or more demodulation reference signals (DMRS), wherein the scrambling ID configuration indicates one of two scrambling IDs to be signaled to a UE.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and circuitries are disclosed for determining Precoding Resource Block Groups (PRGs). In one example, a processor of a base station (BS) is configured to determine a plurality of PRGs that includes a number N consecutive Physical Resource Blocks (PRBs) over which a same precoder assignment is used, starting from a reference PRB. The plurality PRGs include a first boundary PRG, a second boundary PRG, and one or more other PRGs. The first boundary PRG is located at an upper boundary of a bandwidth part. The first boundary PRG comprises fewer than N PRBs when the upper boundary of the bandwidth part is not aligned with a PRG boundary. The second boundary PRG comprises fewer than N PRBs when a lower boundary of the bandwidth part is not aligned with a PRG boundary. A downlink data channel is transmitted to a UE in accordance with the precoder assignments.

The PUSCH transmission can be generated based on a Demodulation Reference Signal (DMRS) according to a Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) spread Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) waveform in uplink. A sequence of the DMRS can be generated based on a Gold sequence and a Pi/2 Binary Phase-Shift Keying (BPSK) modulation.
