    Abstract: Disclosed is a robot including a travelling apparatus, a body, a containing apparatus and an item grabbing apparatus. The travelling apparatus is disposed at a bottom of the robot and configured to travel to a preset position based on a travelling path received by the robot. The body is disposed above the travelling apparatus. The containing apparatus is connected to the body and includes multiple containing positions that are interlayers stacked in a vertical direction. One of the interlayers may contain at least one target item. The item grabbing apparatus is disposed on the body and configured to, based on a task received by the robot, grab, at the preset position, a first target item from an item storage apparatus and automatically place the first target item at a containing position of the containing apparatus, or grab, at the preset position, a second target item from the containing position of the containing apparatus and automatically place the second target item in the item storage apparatus.

    Abstract: Provided is a relay goods picking system, the system includes: a plurality of carrying robots, a manual picking rack area, auxiliary pickup tools for manual goods picking which store goods for manual picking, a robot picking rack area provided with a plurality of racks used for storing goods and being carried by the plurality of carrying robots, operating positions and a control system capable of communicating with the plurality of carrying robots and manual picking persons. For a mixed order which involves both goods in the manual picking rack area and goods in the robot picking rack area, under control of the control system, a person-to-goods picking mode and a goods-to-person picking mode are used in series to complete the goods picking in a relay manner.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an item transport system. The item transport system includes: a control server, at least one carrying robot, at least one storage container and at least one picking container. The control server obtains order information and container information of items to be transported and integrates the order information with the container information to provide transport information for the at least one carrying robot. The storage container and the picking container are both configured to accommodate items to be stored and items to be picked interchangeably. The carrying robot carries the storage container or the picking container based on the transport information received from the control server. Further disclosed is an item transport method.
