Abstract: The present disclosure provides a surface cleaning apparatus that includes a housing including a base adapted for movement across a surface to be cleaned, a fluid delivery system, and a recovery system. The surface cleaning apparatus can be configured to clean multiple surfaces, including hard and soft surfaces, and apparatus is provided with a base adapted for movement across a surface to be cleaned, a brushroll removably mounted within the base, and a brushroll latch for securing the brushroll to the base. The brushroll latch can be captured by a portion of a nozzle assembly to prevent unintended release of the brushroll.

Operating parameters of the apparatus may be automatically adjusted based on a detected floor type. The apparatus can dock with a tray for recharging and/or self-cleaning.
