    摘要： A sensor plate is formed as an acoustic channel on which an acoustic transducer is mounted to send ultrasonic waves along a surface of a base wall of the acoustic channel which is exposed to contaminants to be detected. An insert plate encloses the channel to protect the surface opposite the surface exposed to contaminants from the environment. Thus, dirt, moisture, installation adhesives or other materials that might degrade the performance of the sensor are prevented from contacting the backside of the plate carrying the acoustic waves. Such acoustic channel sensors are useful in applications on aircraft surfaces, road surfaces, bridge surfaces and the like for detecting ice.

    摘要： This disclosure describes antenna structures for use with implantable medical devices (IMDs). The IMD may include a housing that hermetically encloses electronic components of the IMD and a fixation mechanism that attaches the IMD to a target location within a patient, such as a wall of a vessel. The fixation mechanism may function as a radiating element of an antenna of the IMD. The fixation mechanism may be attached to a housing of the IMD with two different members. One member may be an anchoring structure that mechanically anchors the fixation mechanism to the housing. The second member may be a connector that electrically connects the fixation mechanism to the housing such that the fixation mechanism is configured to transmit and/or receive communication signals with other implantable or external devices.

    摘要： An environmentally sealed acoustic transducer that utilizes a semi-liquid, liquid or paste-like couplant material between a bottom surface of a transducer case and a structure that is to be acoustically vibrated. The transducer case fits into a chamber or well that provides a seal relative to the outer surfaces of the transducer case, and a weep or bleed passageway is provided and opens to the chamber or well. The bleed passageway permits excess couplant material to move out of the chamber through the passageway when the transducer case is inserted into the chamber or well. The bleed passageway has a seal so that the entire unit is environmentally sealed.
