A backlight assembly for a liquid crystal display panel. The assembly includes a lamp housing; a lamp; a diffuser plate; and a plurality of supports. Each support has first and second members. The first member has a body and a groove formed in the body for holding the lamp and attaching the lamp to the lamp housing. A cushioning member may be disposed around a section of the lamp and between the lamp and the first member for providing cushioning therebetween. The second member has an elongated body for supporting the diffuser plate when it attempts to sag or distort.

A backlight module includes fluorescent lamps, an inverter for supplying power for the lamps, dimming circuits each connecting the lamp in series, a signal processor for converting a video signal into a dimming signal, and a control unit. The lamps are disposed as an array having more than two columns and two rows on a substrate. The control unit electrically connects the signal processor and the dimming circuit and changes the luminance of the lamps by adjusting the dimming circuit according to the dimming signal.

The present invention discloses a flat display device and a manufacture method thereof. The flat display device includes a flat display module, a front cover, an auxiliary support, a back cover set, and a circuit board. The back cover set includes a sub-cover and a main back cover, wherein the circuit board is disposed on the inner surface of the sub-cover. The front cover has a display opening for an active area of the flat display module to be exposed outside the display opening and present images through the display opening. The main back cover includes a opening for part of the sub-cover to pass through and be exposed outside the opening.

A direct backlight module includes a reflective base, a buffer block, a lamp tube and a casing. Two opposite side regions of the reflective base both have two opposite openings located at two ends of each side region separately. The buffer block is disposed on the reflective base and positioned opposite to one of the openings. The lamp tube has two opposite electrodes at two ends of the lamp tube separately, and one of the electrodes is mounted in the buffer block. The casing covers the buffer block and there is an airflow channel formed by the combination of the inner chamber of the casing and the openings when the casing is installed in the reflective base.

The frame is deposited below the front bezel and the diffuser plate is deposited below the frame. The first fastening member and the second fastening member are respectively coupled with the first fastened member and with the second fastened member simultaneously so that the front bezel, the frame and the diffuser plate are integrated as a whole.

A liquid crystal display module comprising a first bezel module and a second bezel module is provided. The first bezel module furthermore comprises a lower bezel, a diffusion plate, an optical film plate, a liquid crystal panel and an upper bezel. The diffusion plate is positioned over the lower bezel and the optical film plate is positioned over the diffusion plate. The liquid crystal panel is positioned over the optical film plate. The upper bezel is positioned over the lower bezel such that the lower bezel and the upper bezel together fix the diffusion plate, the optical film plate and the liquid crystal panel. The second bezel module furthermore comprises a bottom bezel, a reflecting plate and a light source. The reflecting plate is positioned over the bottom bezel and the light source is embedded within the bottom bezel above the reflecting plate. The first bezel module and the second bezel module are assembled together by a detachable means.
