Abstract:
A method of handling queries caused overload in a core network of a wireless communication is disclosed. The core network comprises a data base and a network control node which stores a mobility management (MM) context of a mobile device. The method comprises the network node sending information in a notification message to the data base, wherein the information comprises at least one of International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI), UE Reachability Request Parameter for the MME/SGSN (URRP-MME/URRP-SGSN), and a session management (SM) and/or mobility management (MM) back-off timer or a back-off indicator.
Abstract:
A timer configuration method for a core network in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The timer configuration method comprises receiving a mobility management request from a mobile device; and setting a mobile reachable timer to a value no less than a back-off timer value when the core network rejects the mobility management request with the back-off timer value.
Abstract:
A method of handling reachability of a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises the mobile device establishing a packet data network (PDN) emergency connection when a first back-off timer received from a source core network node is running; the mobile device entering a first tracking area from a second tracking area, wherein the second tracking area is associated with the source core network node, and the first tracking area is associated with a target core network node and not in a tracking area list of the mobile device; and the mobile device sending a remaining time of the first back-off timer or a back-off indicator in a tracking area update (TAU) request message or a TAU complete message to the target core network node, wherein the back-off indicator indicates a back-off status of the mobile device.
Abstract:
A method of handling an access network discovery and selection function (ANDSF) for a network of a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises determining a first plurality of closed subscriber group (CSG) cells of the wireless communication system with a first CSG identity, for a mobile device of the wireless communication system to communicate with an evolved packet core (EPC) network of the wireless communication system via the first plurality of CSG cells, after the network determines the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) as an access technology for the mobile device; and configuring an inter-system mobility policy (ISMP) node such that a value of an AccessTechnology leaf of a PrioritizedAccess node is configured as the 3GPP, and a value of a first AccessId leaf of the PrioritizedAccess node is configured as the first CSG identity of the first plurality of CSG cells.
