摘要: Embodiments of this application disclose a communication method. The method includes: A terminal device sends a first message to a network device, where the first message includes one or more listening frequency indexes of one or more first tracking areas that are listened to by the terminal device within a first preset time period. The terminal device receives a second message including first registration area information from the network device. The first registration area information is determined based on the one or more listening frequency indexes. In the embodiments of this application, the accuracy of registration area information obtained by the terminal device can be improved, avoiding waste of communication resources caused by inaccurate registration area information received by the terminal device and improving communication resource utilization and practicality of the communication network.

摘要: Solutions pertaining to user equipment (UE) behavior for UE behavior for emergency services failure due to lower layer failure are proposed. An apparatus (e.g., UE) determines that a lower layer failure occurred during a mobility and periodic registration update (MRU) procedure or a service request (SR) procedure being performed for initiating an emergency protocol data unit (PDU) session with a network for establishing an emergency call. In response, the apparatus performs one or more operations comprising a UE non-access stratum (NAS) layer in a 5th Generation Mobility Management (5GMM) protocol stack informing one or more upper layers of the 5GMM protocol stack of a failure of the MRU or SR procedure for accessing the network such that an upper layer of the 5GMM protocol stack initiates a mechanism for remedying the failure, or performing a local de-registration and attempting to initiate an initial registration for emergency services with the network.

According to one or more embodiments, a method implemented in a wireless device configured to communicate with an Access and Mobility Management Function, AMF, node and a Unified Data Management, UDM, node is provided. The method includes determining to initiate a switch from a first profile associated with a first profile identifier, PID, to a target profile associated with a target PID. The method further includes causing transmission of a switch request message indicating the switch, the switch request message being configured to initiate the UDM node to activate the target profile. The method further includes causing transmission of or receiving signaling in accordance with the activated target profile associated with the target PID.

摘要: A physical network address of one of a set of wireless customer-premise monitoring devices is translated to a shared logical device physical network address in response to receipt of a data packet addressed to the physical network address. The shared logical device physical network address forms a logical device group and physically addresses each of the set of wireless customer-premise monitoring devices over a single communication channel of a wireless cellular network. The wireless customer-premise monitoring devices are configured with each of a shared-identity subscriber identity module (SIM) that uses the shared logical device physical network address and an individual-identity SIM that uses the physical network address. The physical network address of the one of the set of wireless customer-premise monitoring devices is embedded within the data packet addressed to the shared logical device physical network address. The data packet is sent to the shared logical device physical network address.
