Abstract:
A method of handing an emergency PDN connection when a back-off timer is running for a core network in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises starting a mobile reachable timer when a mobile device enters an idle mode, wherein the mobile reachable timer has a first timer value; accepting the emergency PDN connection; stopping the mobile reachable timer when the mobile device enters a connected mode to establish the emergency PDN connection; resetting the mobile reachable timer to a second timer value when a remaining time of the back-off timer is longer than a periodic area update timer; and restarting the mobile reachable timer according to the second timer value when the emergency PDN is disconnected.
Abstract:
A method of handling signaling and data transmission for machine-type communication (MTC) for a network node in a mobile communication environment is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a non-access stratum (NAS) request message from a mobile communication device when the network control node is congested; and sending a trigger delivery failure report to a network gateway node in the core network to reject a trigger request message received from the network gateway node for triggering the mobile communication device.

Abstract:
A method of initiating a service with an access point name (APN) of a wireless communication system for a mobile device in the wireless communication system is disclosed. The mobile device has a plurality of connections with the APN. The method comprises disconnecting at least one first connection of the plurality of connections from the APN, wherein the mobile device keeps at least one second connection of the plurality of connections connected; and initiating the service with the APN, after disconnecting the at least one first connection from the APN; wherein the APN is congested or overloaded.
Abstract:
A method of subscription control for a first network control node in a mobile communication environment is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a trigger request message for triggering a mobile communication device from a machine-type communication (MTC) server, determining whether the trigger request message is valid according to whether one or more MTC features required by an application indicated in the trigger request message is subscribed or activated by the mobile communication device and is supported by a network control node of the mobile communication system, and accepting the trigger request message and forwarding the trigger request message to the network control node when the trigger request message is determined to be valid.
Abstract:
A method of handling reachability of a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises the mobile device establishing a packet data network (PDN) emergency connection when a first back-off timer received from a source core network node is running; the mobile device entering a first tracking area from a second tracking area, wherein the second tracking area is associated with the source core network node, and the first tracking area is associated with a target core network node and not in a tracking area list of the mobile device; and the mobile device sending a remaining time of the first back-off timer or a back-off indicator in a tracking area update (TAU) request message or a TAU complete message to the target core network node, wherein the back-off indicator indicates a back-off status of the mobile device.
Abstract:
An unmanned aerial vehicle can be configured to adjust a beam direction, provide path information, act as a base station, act as a cluster head, include an improved directional antenna or array of directional antennas, communicate in a collaboration using belief propagation, receive communications from a serving station aiding in navigation or improved signal performance, or the like.
Abstract:
An apparatus and system to enable dynamic offloading and execution of compute tasks are described. In split CU-DU RAN architectures, the CU-CP is connected with multiple compute control functions (CF) and service functions (SF) that have different computing hardware/software capabilities. Different architectures depend on whether the SF is collocated with the CU-UP, the CU-UP and SF only serve compute messages, a compute message is supplied directly to the CU-UP or also traverses the CU-CP. In response to reception from a UE of a compute message containing data for computation being sent to the CU-CP through the DU, the CU-CP sends the data to the SF with identifiers and sends the result to the UE.
