Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a filter element. The filter element includes a first filter end, second filter end, filter media, and filter frame. The second filter end is disposed axially away from the first filter end. The filter media extends axially between a first filter end and a second filter end. The filter frame is adjacent to the first filter end. The filter frame includes a first frame end, a second frame end, a first frame endwall, a second frame endwall, a first frame sidewall, and a second frame sidewall. The second frame end is disposed axially away from the first frame end. The first frame endwall extends axially away from the first frame end toward the second frame end. The second frame endwall extends axially away from the first frame end toward the second frame end. The second frame endwall is disposed longitudinally away from the first frame endwall.

Abstract: A filtration system comprising a housing defining a central compartment, an outlet and a housing sealing surface having a first non-planar surface. A cover is removably coupled to the housing. The cover defines an inlet and comprises a cover sealing surface having a second non-planar surface. The filtration system also includes a filter element comprising a filter media and a seal member. The filter element is removably received in the central compartment. The seal member comprising a complimentary non-planar sealing surface that matches the first non-planar surface and the second non-planar surface such that the seal member axially pinched between the housing and the cover by the housing sealing surface and the cover sealing surface to form a first seal between the seal member and the housing and a second seal between the seal member and the cover.

Abstract: A filter assembly may include a housing and a cover movably connected to the housing and movable between an open position and a closed position. The filter assembly may also include at least one projection extending from the cover towards an interior of the housing and a filter element that fits at least partially within the housing. When the cover is moved from the open position to the closed position, at least one projection interfaces with the filter element and causes the filter element to pivot within the housing, such that the at least one projection seals the filter element and the housing together when the cover is in the closed position.
