    摘要: An impactor separator comprises a housing having an inlet receiving a gas-liquid stream and an outlet expelling a gas stream. The impactor separator also includes an impaction surface positioned within the housing and configured to separate liquid particles from the gas-liquid stream and a nozzle assembly positioned within the housing. The nozzle assembly includes a nozzle assembly housing portion and a plurality of nozzles extending through the nozzle assembly housing portion. Each of the plurality of nozzles includes a nozzle inlet and a nozzle outlet. The gas-liquid stream enters into the nozzle assembly housing portion, flows into the plurality of nozzles through the nozzle inlet and exits the plurality of nozzles through the nozzle outlet. The plurality of nozzles accelerates the gas-liquid stream toward the impaction surface.

    摘要: A fuel water separator comprises a housing that defines an internal volume that receives a mixture. The fuel water separator further comprises a filter element that is positioned within the internal volume. The filter element comprises a first endplate and a second endplate that is located opposite the first endplate. The filter element further comprises a filter media that is coupled to the first endplate and the second endplate. The filter media is structured to separate a dispersed phase from a continuous phase of the mixture. The filter element further comprises a collection sump that is located below the first and second endplate and structured to receive the dispersed phase. The filter element further comprises a retention barrier disposed above the collection sump. The retention barrier comprises a drain opening structured to discharge the dispersed phase through the retention barrier into the collection sump.

The engine control module and the filtration monitoring system provide the data to a telematics system for transmitting the data to a remote data center (e.g., a cloud computing system, a remote diagnostics system, a maintenance system, etc.). Depending on an availability of a cellular data connection, the data is either sent directly to the remote data center via a network, or indirectly by first transmitting the data over a local connection to an operator device (e.g., a smartphone), which then sends the data to the remote data center once a connection to the network is available.

    摘要: Filter media having generally tetrahedral shaped flow channels is described. The filter media is generally formed by a flat filter sheet and a formed sheet. The formed sheet may be formed by a curves and/or pleats in the sheet. The curves and/or pleats form the tetrahedron channels. Embossments, such as dimples, are provided on the crests formed by the curves and/or pleats. The embossments help to maintain spacing between adjacent layers of the filter media, thereby increasing dust holding capacity and decreasing pressure drop over similarly configured filter media not having the embossments.
