Abstract: By a vehicle wireless communication device or a communication control method, short-range communication via an access point of a wireless local area network placed outside the vehicle is performed, cellular communication via a cellular base station is performed, a mobility state of the vehicle, determined, a communication path for communication between the in-vehicle device and the external device is selected, the short-range communication is more preferentially adopted, as the communication path of the in-vehicle device, than the cellular communication when the mobility state is equal to or lower than a predetermined reference level, and the cellular communication is adopted when the mobility state exceeds the predetermined reference level.
