摘要： This present application relates to, among other things, novel techniques to evaluate and qualify multiple networking options. A device contains multiple network connectivity options, including but not limited to various wireless and wired technologies such as Wi-Fi, 3G, WiMAX, LTE, Ethernet, Bluetooth, UWB, WHDMI, etc. Each connectivity option can be evaluation and pre-qualified prior to the user selecting that mode of communication. This evaluation process takes into account both lower-layer information such as signal strength, bit error rates, SNR, interference, etc. but also network-layer information such as IP connectivity, and end-to-end path performance.

摘要： A system and method for supporting mobile coalitions for entertainment comprises devices including a master device, a server having a multimedia service executable by the master device and modules operable to recommend formation of a coalition based on the service, invite the devices to participate in the coalition, set up the coalition by determining the devices to participate, launching on each device a link to the coalition, performing emulation of the coalition by streaming a portion of the service to each device until experience is satisfactory, and continuing by transmitting the service to the devices, capture interactions on the devices by users, the interactions comprising at least gestures, taps correlating to messages of quality of experience, adapt the coalition by managing user inputs conveying quality of experience, maintaining synchronization of the devices, and maintaining the service when one or more of the devices cease to participate, and terminate the coalition.

摘要： Embodiments of the present invention disclose a secure localization infrastructure using transmitters that can transmit messages at multiple distinct power levels throughout a community of reference points. Transmitters send messages at different power levels in a manner that every location in the system corresponds to a unique set of messages. Received messages are reported back to the localization infrastructure, which then determines location by comparing the messages reported.

摘要： Data packets are transmitted from a first access network to a first interface of a multiple interface device (MID), and identical data packets are transmitted concurrently from a second access network to a second interface of the MID. Some of the data packets that are transmitted to the MID from the first access network are not received by the first interface. The MID inspects identifiers of data packets from the first and second interfaces in order to send to the application a stream including all of the data packets. For example, the MID sends to the application the data packets from the first interface, buffers the data packets from the second interface, and sends data packets from the buffer to the application upon detecting that data packets in the buffer were transmitted to the first interface but not received by the first interface.

Packets transmitted over the multicast session are time stamped to help maintain synchronization, and the receivers recover multiple packet flows from the multiple received signals concurrently and combine them to create a single packet flow at higher layers.

摘要： A Bluetooth-enabled terminal having a radio manager for minimizing frequency collisions between channel hopping patterns transmitted over plural channels established between such terminal and correspondent Bluetooth devices is described. The radio manager extracts successive sets of projected future N—time slot segments of the respective Bluetooth channel hopping patterns. Each extracted set is tested to detect a time slot, if any, where frequency hops of the segments of the set coincide, indicating a frequency collision. When a collision time slot is detected, the radio manager generates a marker which triggers an alteration of the frequency hops that would otherwise be exhibited by a subset of the generated channel hopping patterns in such detected time slot. Such terminal may optionally be provided with an additional network interface to define a collision-resistant Bluetooth access point.
