Abstract: There is provided a walker apparatus having a pair of spaced-apart, upright frame members. The walker apparatus includes a seat operatively connected to the upright frame members. The walker apparatus has a backrest cantilevered from the frame members. The backrest has at least one opening extending therethrough for permitting a user's vision past the backrest when the user grips the upright frame members.

Abstract: There is provided a collapsible walker having a pair of spaced-apart, operatively interconnected frame members. The walker includes a folding mechanism for selectively bringing together the frame members. The walker includes a collapsible basket. The collapsible basket comprises a pair of substantially planar supports connectable with respective ones of the frame members. The periphery of each of the planar supports has a protruding rim. The collapsible basket also comprises a basket member extending between and being supported by the planar supports.

Abstract: There is provided a mounting assembly including a frame portion of the walker apparatus having a first bore and a second bore extending in a direction generally perpendicular to the first bore. The mounting assembly includes a shaft assembly rotatably connected to a wheel fork. The shaft assembly also is partially disposed within the first bore. The shaft assembly has a recess configured to align with the second bore. The mounting assembly includes a securing member threadably engageable with and at least partially disposed within the second bore. The securing member couples to the frame portion of the walker apparatus. The securing member has a tapered end that engages with portions of the shaft assembly surrounding the recess and is a set screw according to one aspect. The shaft assembly is a bolt according another aspect.
