The method also includes connecting the antenna to one or more systems of the vehicle such that the antenna transmits or receives signals processed by the one or more systems.

A controller determines whether to transmit a message using a high frequency (HF) communication system based on the input. The available RAT channels include a cellular RAT channel, WiFi RAT channel, designated short-range communication (DSRC) RAT channel, or WiGig RAT channel.
