    Abstract: A damper is provided for responding to relative movement of arms to which the damper is coupled. The damper includes a member, springs, a first housing and a second housing. The first housing includes a first body and first bellows affixed to the member and the first body by first joints to define a first interior. The second housing includes a second body and second bellows affixed to the member and the second body by second joints to define a second interior. The first and second interiors are configured to contain fluid charged therein and the member is configured to permit bi-directional flows of the fluid between the first and second interiors responsive to the relative movement of the arms and in opposition to an elasticity of the springs.

    Abstract: A control valve includes a slide valve having a slide movable within a channel between a first position and a second position. When the slide is in the second position, the channel is arranged in fluid communication with an outlet line. A pressure regulator is arranged upstream from and in fluid communication with the slide valve and is operably coupled to a fluid source. The pressure regulator includes a flow metering element movable between an open position and a closed position to regulate a flow of fluid and pressure through the control valve in response to a pressure variations within the downstream slide valve.

    Abstract: An aircraft exterior light unit may comprise a magnetically controlled fluid drain valve configured to expel liquid water from the light unit. The valve may include a permanent magnet configured to induce a magnetic flux circuit that generates a magnetic force configured to close the valve. The valve may be configured to open when the pressure inside the light unit exceeds the magnetic force. As the valve opens and expels the water, the pressure within the light unit may decrease, equalizing with that of the external environment. As the magnetic force generated by the magnet increases as the valve is open and the water expelled, the magnet may be configured to close the valve once more. As such, the magnet may be configured to control a self-acting fluid drain valve in an aircraft exterior light.

    Abstract: An inflation control system for an inflatable may comprise a compressed fluid source, a valve module, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The valve module is connected to the compressed fluid source and configured to control a flow of gas to the inflatable. The temperature sensor measures an ambient temperature and outputs the ambient temperature measurement. The controller is operably coupled to the valve module and configured to receive the ambient temperature measurement and determine an open-valve time based on the ambient temperature measurement, the open-valve time being a duration of time the valve module is in an open position.
