摘要： A tamper-indicating closure that includes a base wall having a cylindrical skirt for removably engaging a container finish. A tamper band is frangibly connected to the skirt, and a plurality of wings extend inwardly from an inner surface of the tamper band for engagement with a container finish. The wings are resiliently flexibly connected to the inner surface of the band along lines that are disposed at a counterclockwise angle with respect to the axis of the skirt as viewed from inside the skirt.

摘要： A closure includes a plastic shell having a generally flat base wall, a peripheral skirt for mounting the closure on a container neck finish and an annular portion integrally connecting the skirt to the periphery of the base wall. A flexible resilient sealing liner is disposed on at least an inner surface of the annular portion. The annular portion has an inverted V-shape with an outer leg integrally connected to the skirt and an inner leg integrally connected to the periphery of the base wall such that the base wall is disposed axially beneath the annular connection between the inner and outer legs. The inner leg is resiliently flexible with respect to the outer leg upon engagement with an end of a container neck finish so as to flex the inner leg and the base wall outwardly with respect to the skirt and thereby draw the outer leg into engagement with an outer surface of the container neck finish. The inner leg of the annular V-shaped portion preferably is conical, and in exemplary embodiments of the disclosure the outer leg preferably either is cylindrical or is conical preferably at an angle equal and opposite to the conical inner leg.

摘要： A plastic closure includes a plastic closure shell having a base wall with a central opening and a skirt for securing the closure to a container neck finish. A plastic disk includes angularly spaced fingers extending into the central opening of the shell base wall and external beads on the fingers for engaging an inner periphery of the central opening to retain the disk within the shell. The beads have flat undersurfaces and the inner periphery of the central opening has a ledge with a conical surface engaged by the beads. Any doming that occurs in the disk and/or the closure shell base wall increases the surface contact between the finger beads and the opposing surface of the ledge so that removal of the shell from a container neck finish will simultaneously lift and remove the disk from the neck finish without having the beads snap through the central opening in the shell so that the shell is removed while the disk is retained on the neck finish.

摘要： A child-resistant package includes a container having a body with an open end for dispensing product. A shoulder on the body is positioned adjacent to the open end and has an external surface. A circumferential groove is recessed radially inwardly from the shoulder surface at an end of the shoulder remote from the container end. A bead around the shoulder extends radially outwardly from the shoulder surface and is spaced from the groove and the container end, and at least one external axially extending channel is parallel to the axis of the shoulder surface and extends into the surface from the groove through the shoulder and the bead. A cup-shaped overcap has an open end, at least one internal lug adjacent to the open end for receipt in the groove on the container shoulder, and a radially inwardly extending bead around an inner periphery of the cap spaced from the open end for snap-fit over the radially outwardly extending bead on the container shoulder. Indicia on the overcap and the container body facilitate axial alignment of the lug with the channel for removal of the overcap from the container. Snap-fit of the beads on the overcap and the shoulder stabilize the overcap on the container and reduce the mechanical advantage that would otherwise be obtained by grasping and bending the overcap with respect to the container body.
