The masking coupler has good coupling activity and desirable hues, and can be obtained in good yields by simple syntheses.

    摘要： Methods and apparatuses for non-destructively testing and evaluating mechanical properties of composite materials such as particleboard, plywood, graphic fiber-epoxy composites and other bonded composite materials. The composite material structural elements are subjected to an impact, force or other stress wave producing stimulus. The resulting stress wave is sensed at two different points in time. The speed and attenuaton rate of the stress wave are determined. Measurements of the composite material density are combined with the stress wave speed and attenuation rate into an equation also defined by predetermined experimentally derived parameters. The experimentally derived parameters are specific to the test system, materials, and structural elements being tested. Apparatuses disclosed have sensors which are positioned to determine the stress wave intensity at spaced positions from the stress wave inducing device. The sensors can be retractably mounted and arranged in concentric circles. A singular magnetic sensor for repeatedly detecting a stress wave reflected within a bar or panel is also disclosed.

The disc may be advanced by completing a circuit of the outer path with the token or by collecting a specified number of flags which are placed in the disk.

    摘要： A check processing module (CPM) is provided for a self-service check depositing terminal. The CPM comprises a substantially U-shaped plastic guide including (i) first and second leg portions forming the substantially U-shape, (ii) a surface which forms an opening in the first leg portion, and (ii) a releasing member which is disposed on the second leg portion. The CPM further comprises a shaft assembly including (i) a plastic shaft having opposite end portions and a central portion between the opposite end portions, (ii) a number of drive rollers disposed on the central portion, (iii) a first plastic race bearing attached to one end portion of the plastic shaft and disposed in the opening of the plastic guide, and (iv) a second plastic race bearing attached to the other end portion of the plastic shaft and secured by the releasing member to the plastic guide. The releasing member is operable to secure the shaft assembly to the plastic guide during operation of the CPM, and is operable to release the shaft assembly from the plastic guide during disassembly of parts of the CPM.

    摘要： A document deskewing module is provided for a self-service bunch document depositing terminal. The document deskewing module comprises a set of sensors arranged to detect when a document transported along a document transport path from a mixed bunch of documents including documents of a first type and documents of a second type which is different from the first type is deskewed, a first set of drive rollers in the form of hard drive rollers disposed along the document transport path, a first set of idler rollers moveable towards and away from the hard drive rollers, a second set of drive rollers in the form of soft drive rollers disposed along the document transport path, a second set of idler rollers moveable towards and away from the soft drive rollers, and a controller arranged to control operation of the first and second sets of idler rollers in response to a number of signals from the set of sensors such that either only the first set of idlers are interacting with the hard drive rollers or only the second set of idlers is interacting with the soft drive rollers at any one time to deskew either a document of the first type or a document of the second type which is different from the first type.

    摘要： Disclosed are methods of producing high molecular weight, soluble, crosslinked polyaspartates from crosslinked polysuccinimide. In one preferred method aspect, polysuccinimide is first reacted with an organic crosslinking agent, preferably an organic base containing at least two primary amine groups to form a crosslinked polysuccinimide. The crosslinked polysuccinimide is then hydrolyzed to crosslinked polyaspartate which is soluble in polar solvents, preferably water, alcohol and mixtures thereof. Alternative method aspects are disclosed in which soluble crosslinked polyaspartates are produced in a single reaction vessel by sequentially crosslinking polysuccinimide with the organic crosslinking agent in an aqueous reaction mixture and hydrolyzing the product to crosslinked polyaspartate.
