摘要: A corrosion inhibitor for a soft water circulation heating and cooling system, wherein the corrosion inhibitor is pentapentanol core hyperbranched macromolecule functionalized by isothiourea and carboxyl, which has a chemical formula of C5H7O5{COC(CH3)[CH2OCOCH2CH(COOH)SC(NH)NH2]2}5. The corrosion inhibitor provided by the present invention is non-phosphorus, biodegradable, non-toxic, low in cost and has good corrosion inhibition effect. Moreover, it has excellent corrosion inhibition performance for circulating heating and cooling systems using soft water as the water source, and can significantly improve the reuse rate of circulating water. The present invention also provides a preparation method of the corrosion inhibitor, which is simple, easy to obtain raw materials and easy to industrialize.

摘要: Metal-chelating compositions having the structure (1a) wherein: R1, R2, R3, and R4 are independently selected from the following groups: (i) hydrogen atom, (ii) hydrocarbon groups (R) containing 1-12 carbon atoms; (iii) halogen atoms; (iv) —P(R5) (═O)OH groups; (v) —C(═O)OH groups; (vi) —S(═O)2OH groups; and (vii) —OH groups, wherein R5 is selected from hydrocarbon groups (R) and —OH; R1 and R2 may optionally interconnect to form Ring A fused to the ring on which R1 and R2 are present; R3 and R4 may optionally interconnect to form Ring B fused to the ring on which R3 and R4 are present; wherein Ring A and Ring B are optionally and independently substituted with one or more of groups (ii)-(vii). Methods of using the above-described compositions for chelating metal ions having an atomic number of at least 56 (e.g., Ba or Ra) are also described.

摘要: A composition and method of inhibiting corrosion and white rust on metal components in a water system. The composition preferably comprises an amino-acid based polymer (most preferably a polyaspartic acid or a salt thereof), hydroxyphosphonoacetic acid, and a second phosphonic acid (preferably a phosphonocarboxylic acid), and does not require the use of regulated metals. The composition is effective even in the presence of biocides. A preferred method of inhibiting white rust comprises adding an amino-acid based polymer or hydroxyphosphonoacetic acid or both to the water system. A preferred method of inhibiting corrosion or white rust comprises adding an amino-acid based polymer, hydroxyphosphonoacetic acid, and a phosphonocarboxylic acid to the water system. Preferably the active concentrations are at least 3 ppm each of the amino-acid based polymer and hydroxyphosphonoacetic acid when added to a volume of water in the water system.

摘要: An agent for cleaning an RO membrane, which includes an aldonic acid and/or a salt of an aldonic acid, removes effectively foulants that cannot be sufficiently removed with conventional cleaning agents when an RO membrane used for water treatment. In a method for cleaning an RO membrane with the cleaning agent or the cleaning liquid, while the detachment and hydrolysis effects are achieved by performing cleaning under alkaline conditions, chelation of heavy metals is caused by the aldonic acid and/or the salt of an aldonic acid. When an anionic surfactant is used in combination with the aldonic acid and/or the salt of an aldonic acid, the anionic surfactant causes the detachment of foulants. When a polyol having a molecular weight of 1000 or less is used in combination with the aldonic acid and/or the salt of an aldonic acid, the polyol causes wetting and swelling of foulants.

摘要: The present invention provides a composition useful as a sulfide scale inhibitor for application in oilfield operations, comprising 1) at least one copolymer that comprises as monomers a) 0.1 to 10 mol-%, of structural units derived from vinylphosphonic acid and/or of a salt thereof, b) 40 to 80 mol-% of structural units derived from compounds of the formula (1) c) 1 to 50 mol-% of structural units derived from compounds of the formula (2) in which X is OH or NR3R4, and R3 and R4, independently of one another, are H or C1-C4-alkyl, 2) at least one of tris (hydroxymethyl) phosphine or a tetrakis(hydroxymethyl)phosphonium salt, 3) at least one surfactant, 4) at least one amine or ammonium salt.

Also disclosed is a method of preparing the terpolymerized corrosion and scale inhibitor used in circulating cooling water of central air conditioning.

摘要: Cations that can precipitate from an aqueous composition to produce scaling are sequestered by adding a multi-dentate ligand to the aqueous composition. The multi-dentate ligand bonds with the cation to form a non-scaling ionic complex; and the aqueous solution with the ionic complex is used in a process that produces substantially pure water from the aqueous composition, where the cation, absent formation of the ionic complex, is subject to scaling. The pH of the aqueous composition (or a brine including components of the aqueous composition) is then reduced to release the cation from the multi-dentate ligand; and the multi-dentate ligand, after the cation is released, is then reused in a predominantly closed loop.

The rheology modifying agent can be a low molecular weight anionic polymer, a high molecular weight polymer, a mixture of a low molecular weight anionic polymer and a high molecular weight polymer, a mixture of a high molecular weight polymer and a chelating agent, and a mixture of a chelating agent, a high molecular weight polymer, and a low molecular weight anionic polymer.
