Abstract:
An example electronic device includes a watermark scanner to scan a watermark embedded on an initial page of a physical medium. The electronic device also includes a gesture sensor to detect a hand movement of a consumer associated with the physical medium. The electronic device further includes a controller to: determine a page number of the initial page based on the scanned watermark; determine a current page number based on the page number of the initial page; determine a page number of a subsequent page of the physical medium based on the detected hand movement and the current page number; and determine payoff information associated with the subsequent page based on the page number of the subsequent page.
Abstract:
Approaches and devices for processing a machine-readable link in the event of a failed scan are described. In one example, the processing may alter an image attribute corresponding to each image within the set of images, process the set of images with the altered image attribute to ascertain presence of the machine-readable link; and obtain an operational indication, wherein the operational indication is to aid a user of a computing system for subsequently scanning another machine-readable link.
Abstract:
A system and method for cloud centric Web out-of-box print experience (WOOBPE) for Web connected printers are disclosed. In one example, a printer is registered with a cloud print service upon the printer coupling to a network. A WOOBPE application is then launched via a computing device to obtain a network identification (ID) of the printer. A user account is then created with WOOBPE service providers for a user of the printer upon obtaining printer specific information using the network ID. Printer email ID is then provided and the printer email ID is then activated and a test page is printed based on the printer specific information. The printer is then claimed by sending the printer specific information to the WOOBPE service providers for subscribing to one or more print services and associating the printer specific information with the created user account.
Abstract:
Examples disclosed herein relate to generating a print format version with an overlaid machine-readable link. As an example, a set of machine-readable links assigned to a user account from a remote repository is obtained. In response to a print command associated with the user account, one machine-readable link from amongst the set of the machine-readable links is selected and applied onto a portion of the digital document. Thereafter, a print format version of the digital document along with the machine-readable link is generated.
Abstract:
A system and method for registering a user with a subscription service for a printer is described. A network-enabled printer can determine when a mobile computing device is brought into a sufficient proximity of the network-enabled printer. The network-enabled printer can receive account information for a user of the mobile computing device when the mobile computing device is brought into the sufficient proximity and transmit the account information to a remote provider in order to register the network-enabled printer and the user with the subscription service.
Abstract:
A technique performed by a printer includes receiving identification information from a computing device. The identification information may be sent to a server, such as a content management server. The identification information can be used for payment. Payment confirmation, authorization to provide content, or content itself may be received from the server.
Abstract:
A remote server and network connectable printer arrangement is provided. The remote server can send a job availability message via a first communication protocol to the network connectable printer to cause the network connectable printer to establish a network connection. The remote server may then send a print job to the network connectable printer over the network. The network connectable printer may then print the print job and then terminate the connection thereafter.
