    Abstract: This provides a spatial multiplexing method and apparatus, to introduce WLAN sensing into a conventional spatial multiplexing mechanism and improve communication efficiency. The method includes: An AP sends a first request message to a first station and a second station, to request to measure channel quality in one or more sensing beam directions in a first SP; the AP sends a second request message to a third station and a fourth station, to request to measure channel quality in a communications beam direction in a second SP; the first station, the second station, the third station, and the fourth station separately perform measurement and report respective first measurement results; and the AP receives the first measurement results of the stations, and determines, based on the first measurement results, whether to perform spatial multiplexing on the first SP and the second SP.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides ranging methods and apparatuses. One example method includes that a first device sends a first signal on a first channel. The first device receives, on a second channel, a second signal from a second device, where the second signal is a signal obtained after frequency conversion is performed on the first signal.     Abstract: Example signal transmission methods and apparatus are described. In one example method, a first initiating device sends a poll frame. The poll frame includes time-frequency location information of N first ultra-wideband (UWB) segment signals, and the poll frame further includes first delay information for each of M second responding devices to reply to the first initiating device with a response frame. The first initiating device receives a plurality of response frames based on a timestamp of the poll frame and the first delay information for each of the M second responding devices to reply to the first initiating device with the response frame.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: sending, on a first narrowband channel, a first frame used to trigger data measurement; sending a first UWB signal and receiving a second UWB signal on a first ultra-wideband UWB channel, where the first UWB signal and the second UWB signal are used to perform the data measurement to obtain a data measurement result; and specifically, sending, on a second narrowband channel, a first trigger frame used to trigger reporting of a first measurement result. A trigger frame is delivered to trigger a measurement result reporting procedure. This avoids a reporting failure when the measurement result is directly reported on the first narrowband channel.

Then, the sending device changes a phase of first data carried in the first group of subcarriers by 90 degrees or minus 90 degrees, and further generates a modulation signal based on the first data that is carried in the first group of subcarriers and whose phase has been changed and second data carried in the second group of subcarriers.
