摘要： An intracranial pressure monitoring system and method. The system includes an auditory stimulation and recording unit, which includes a stimulation controller, a memory for storing waveforms, a device for comparing received waveforms with stored waveforms, and an alarm operable based upon that comparison. The system includes at least one cranial electrode attachable to a patient, and an auditory stimulation device, operable by the stimulation controller. The stimulation device is a pair of acoustic ear inserts, each of which is connected to and operated by an auditory stimulator activated by the stimulation controller. In the method, a patient is auditorially stimulated to evoke a received waveform indicative of intracranial pressure, a comparison is generated by comparing the received waveform with one of an established patient baseline waveform and an established normal waveform, and an alarm is generated responsive to that comparison.

摘要： A one-piece, flip-top reclosable container embodying the present invention includes an outer carton having opposing top and bottom walls, front and back walls, and first and second side walls. The first and second side walls and the front wall include a preferential area of weakness for opening the carton from a sealed form to an unsealed form. The preferential area of weakness forms a lid hingedly connected to the top wall. The top wall includes a front top minor flap hingedly connected to an upper end of the front wall. An internal collar is integrally formed with the front top minor flap. The internal collar is disposed within the carton when the carton is in the sealed form. The internal collar includes a front panel and opposing first and second side panels adjacent to the respective front wall and the opposing first and second side walls of the carton. The front panel of the internal collar is detachably connected to the front top minor flap along at least one horizontal fold line. The internal collar optionally includes an extension flap comprised of at least one hinged portion and at least one island portion disposed in forcibly displaceable mutual engagement such that opening the lid exerts a force which disengages the mutual engagement and closing the lid leads to snap re-engagement of the hinged portion and the island portion.

In order of connection, the panels include an inner front panel, a bottom panel, a back panel, a top panel, and an outer front panel. First and second side closure flaps are hingedly connected to each of the panels along the respective first and second vertical edges. The first and second side closure flaps cooperate to form the opposing first and second side walls of the carton. The first and second blanks are vertically oriented in opposite directions and are horizontally adjacent to each other. One or more of the first side closure flaps of the first blank horizontally nest with and border on one or more of the first side closure flaps of the second blank such that a horizontal distance between the first vertical edges of the first blank and the first vertical edges of the second blank is less than twice a horizontal dimension of the first side closure flap having a largest horizontal dimension.

A handle is formed along an upper central handle section of the longitudinal partition to permit carrying of the basket carrier. Each of the transverse partitions extends between the longitudinal partition and one of the side walls. The transverse partitions are generally perpendicular to the bottom wall and the side walls and are generally parallel to the end walls. The transverse partitions serve to divide the interior of the basket carrier into multiple cells suitable for receiving respective beverage bottles. The longitudinal and transverse partitions are formed from a second unitary paperboard blank.

The spout wings form a pair of die-cut stops which project in generally opposite directions from respective ones of the opposing edges of the spout body. The stops are generally coplanar with the spout body.

The food product has at least one predetermined portion thereof which requires enhanced heat while the product is being heated or cooked in the oven. The food package includes a container formed of heat resistant material which is pervious to the microwaves. A surface of the container is provided with an area which is in proximity to the predetermined portion of the food product requiring the enhanced heat. A metallized ink, consisting of metal particles suspended in an ink-like substance, is deposited on the surface area of the container. Thus, when the metallized ink is exposed to the generated microwaves, the required enhanced heat is produced in the vicinity of the surface area.

The back wall includes a first major top flap connected to an upper transverse edge of the back wall, the first major top flap having a top edge lock tab protruding from an outer edge of the first major top flap. The front wall includes a second major top flap connected to an upper transverse edge of the front wall, the second major top flap having a top edge slit disposed on the upper transverse edge of the front wall. The container is sealed either by securing the second major top flap over the first major top flap using adhesive, or by securing the first major top flap over the second major top flap through engagement of the top edge lock tab with the top edge slit. An integral tear strip extends across the second major top flap and is used to open a container sealed by securing the second major top flap over the first major top flap. After the container is initially opened, it is reclosed by engaging the top edge lock tab with the top edge slit. A minor top flap includes a "broken set" tab for indicating that the container has been previously opened and that a product has been removed.

The plug is detached from the remainder of the backboard and leaves behind a hole in response to opening the pour spout closure. The plug is inserted into the hole in response to reclosing the pour spout closure. The first side wall forms at least one prong adjacent to the closure layer. The prong engages the plug in response to closing the pour spout closure.
