Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and a backlight device. The backlight device includes a case with a bottom plate and a side plate, a light guide on the bottom plate, and a light source device. The light source device includes a wiring substrate and a light-emitting element on the wiring substrate. The wiring substrate includes a mounting portion on which the light-emitting element is mounted, a connection wiring portion on a back surface side of the bottom plate, and a joint portion which joints the mounting portion and the connection wiring portion together. The joint portion extends from an inside to an outside of the case through a gap between the side plate of the case and the liquid crystal panel.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel, a case including a bottom plate opposing a rear surface of the display panel and a side plate stand on the bottom plate and attached to the display panel, a flexible wiring board, one end of which is joined to the display panel, curved around the side plate toward the bottom plate to oppose the bottom plate while, and an adhesive filled between the flexible wiring board and the side plate of the case or between the flexible wiring board and both of the side plate and the bottom plate, to adhere the flexible wiring board onto an outer surface of the case and hold the flexible wiring board in a curved state.

Abstract: To provide a light source device capable of irradiating a liquid crystal display module with light at uniform luminance and a display device including the light source device. A light source device has a rear vessel a front cover, a light source substrate, a plurality of light-emitting diodes, and a light-diffusing plate. The front cover is located over and overlaps the rear vessel. The light source substrate, the plurality of light-emitting diodes, and the light-diffusing plate are accommodated between the rear vessel and the front cover. The plurality of light-emitting diodes is located over the light source substrate. The light-diffusing plate is located over, overlaps, and is spaced away from the plurality of light-emitting diodes. The rear vessel and the front cover each have a bottom plate and a side plate integrated with the bottom plate. In at least one of the rear vessel and the front cover, a portion of the side plate is bent to form a protruding portion overlapping the bottom plate. The light-diffusing plate is located over and overlaps the protruding portion.

The first lower side plate and the first upper side plate each have a notch.
