Abstract:
In an embodiment, there is provided an arrangement for providing functions of a mobile IP-CAN gateway, said arrangement comprising: a first gateway node, a second gateway node, and an interface between said first and second gateway nodes, said first and second gateway nodes linked by said interface appearing to the mobile IP-CAN and to an external IP network as a mobile IP-CAN gateway interfacing said mobile IP-CAN with said IP network, said first gateway node, located in said mobile IP-CAN, providing those traffic handling functions of said mobile IP-CAN gateway, referred to as first traffic handling functions, which are related with the termination of the interface of said mobile IP-CAN gateway towards said mobile IP-CAN, said second gateway node, located in a fixed IP-CAN, providing those traffic handling functions of said mobile IP-CAN gateway, referred to as second traffic handling functions, which are not related with the termination of the interface of said mobile IP-CAN gateway towards said mobile IP-CAN.
Abstract:
One object of the present invention is a method for the support of high bit rate services in a mobile communication system, said method comprising a step wherein a network entity signals to a Mobile Station, according to signalling procedures used in case of access via a broadband Access Network, at least one bit rate higher than the maximum bit rate specified in case of access via a non broadband Access Network, based on bit rates as defined according to signalling procedures used in case of access via said non broadband Access Network.
Abstract:
In one aspect, there is provided a method for the management of Short Message SM delivery in a mobile communication system comprising an Overlaying, e.g. IP-based or CS fallback in Evolved Packet System based, SM delivery network accessed via a mobile or fixed Access Network AN which is transparent to the Overlaying SM Delivery procedure, said method comprising, in an embodiment: informing an AN entity capable of detecting User Equipment UE activity over said AN, of unsuccessful SM delivery attempt due to not reachable UE, upon detection of UE activity over said AN for said UE, said AN entity informing an entity in charge of requesting new SM delivery attempt when said UE is again reachable.
Abstract:
One object of the present invention, in an embodiment, is a method for the delivery of media streaming services to a User Equipment in a mobile communication system having a Core Network comprising a Circuit Switched CS domain, an IP network, and at least one interworking entity between said CS domain and said IP network, said method comprising the steps of: establishing a call through the CS domain towards a Remote User Agent acting on behalf of the User Equipment in the IP network, establishing a streaming session with a Streaming Server via the Remote User Agent, said call establishment interacting with said streaming session establishment to enable the delivery of streaming services to the User Equipment for said streaming session through the CS domain using CS bearer established during said call establishment.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, there is provided a method for session transfer between Access Networks for a User Equipment UE, said method including insertion in a signaling path of a Service Continuity Application Server anchoring said session in IMS, said method including: insertion of a Service Continuity Application Server V-SCC-AS located in a Visited PLMN V-PLMN for a UE roaming in said V-PLMN.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates generally to supporting bonded services at non-anchor nodes. A non-anchor gateway device is configured to support service bonding for a user device and communication with an anchor node of the user device. The non-anchor gateway device is configured to associated a set of user device data plane connections of the user device to form a bonded session for the user device where the set of user device data plane sessions includes a first user device data plane connection associated with a first access network and a second user device data plane connection associated with a second access network. The non-anchor gateway device is configured to map user device traffic of the user device between the user device data plane connections of the bonded session and a user device data plane session between the gateway device and the anchor node for the user device.
Abstract:
One object of the present invention is a method for for configuring a cellular mobile communication network with Tracking Areas, comprising: a step of configuring a Radio Access Network entity, with at least one Tracking Area it is to be associated with, a step of registering a thus configured Radio Access Network entity onto a Mobility Management function and/or Paging Coordination function, for said at least one Tracking Area.
Abstract:
An device (A) is dedicated to controlling the implementation of functions linked with providing at least one communication service to at least one communication terminal (T1) in a service equipment (SA1) belonging to an Internet communication core network (NC). The device (A) comprises control means (CM) which, upon receipt of a request for providing the service offered by its equipment (SA1) for a given communication, are tasked with (i) deciding to implement at least one function selected from among the functions offered by the equipment (SA1); and, subsequently, (ii) inserting data signaling that decision into at least one of the signaling messages sent by the equipment for the communication in question, which are intended for at least some other service equipments (PS1, PS2, SA2, MR1) of the core network (CR), so that they can prohibit themselves from implementing the selected function for the duration of the given communication.
