Abstract:
Methods and devices to retrieve voice messages are disclosed. An example device includes a network interface to access a voicemail server via a network, a message parser to remove a non-message portion of a voicemail access session from a voicemail access session, and a storage device to store the message portion of the voicemail access session.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present application include using adaptive measurement intervals to improve RSSI scan accuracy. A method may involve determining a first power value in respect of a first measurement time interval, determining whether or not the first power value meets at least one criterion, when the first power value does not meet the at least one criterion, determining at least one additional power value, selecting at least one power value from a set of power values that have been determined, the set including the first power value and the at least one additional power value, and determining the power value for use in cell selection or cell re-selection based on the selected at least one power value. The methods may be applied to any cell selection or re-selection scheme for which an adaptive measurement interval may be beneficial.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides radio station list management in a wireless receiver. Upon detection of a scan event, a plurality of radio broadcast channels is scanned to detect available radio stations. Available radio stations that fail to meet a preference criterion are identified and removed to form a list of preferred radio stations. The scan event may be generated dependent upon a time, a location of the wireless receiver, or a broadcast signal quality. Preference criteria may include station content classification and signal quality.
Abstract:
Methods and devices for merging contact records are described. In one example aspect, a method includes: determining if an input via the touchscreen display corresponds to a pre-determined merge-contact-record gesture that is a multi-touch gesture that includes a selection of a first interface element and a second interface element, the first interface element being associated with a first contact record and the second interface element being associated with a second contact record; and if the input corresponds to the pre-determined merge-contact-record gesture, merging the first contact record with the second contact record.
Abstract:
An example method includes detecting a hold touch and a release touch on a touch-sensitive display of an electronic device, wherein the hold touch and the release touch overlap at least partially in time, detecting release of the release touch, and in response to detecting the release of the release touch, displaying an editing control while the hold touch is detected. The editing control may include a virtual trackpad.
Abstract:
Systems and methods can be implemented on a user device and eNBs to manage downlink interference at the user device. The user device in a cell associated with a corresponding serving base station may receive interference from one or more interfering base stations. The user device can identify a preferred radio resource set in response to the detected interference and transmit a preferred radio resource indication to at least the serving base station in response to the detected interference. The preferred radio resource indication can be used for identifying the preferred radio resource set associated with the serving base station.
Abstract:
A method for reducing energy consumption of mobile devices using a phase-continuous early paging indicator (EPI) is provided. For each of at least one paging occasion either A) an EPI indicative that a page is present in the paging occasion is transmitted during an EPI occasion in advance of the paging occasion, the EPI comprising at least one phase-continuous tone for the EPI occasion, and a page is transmitted during the paging occasion, or B) an EPI indicative that a page is not present in the paging occasion is transmitted during an EPI occasion in advance of the paging occasion, the EPI comprising at least one phase-continuous tone for the EPI occasion. A mobile device is configured to monitor for an EPI that comprises at least one phase-continuous tone for an EPI occasion in advance of its paging occasion in order to determine if a page is potentially present.
Abstract:
Method and devices for use in a wireless device are described herein. A signal is received over a plurality of time segments, the signal over each time segment including a plurality of resource element blocks. For each time segment, at least one resource element block is selected from the plurality of resource element blocks of the time segment based on information determined about the time segment. For each time segment, a power value associated with the at least one resource element block of the time segment is determined. For each time segment, a gain adjustment value to adjust the gain of the time segment or one or more subsequent time segments of the signal is determined based upon the power value associated with the at least one resource element block.
Abstract:
Systems and methods can be implemented on a user device and eNBs to manage uplink interference. A user device associated with a serving base station may detect downlink interference from one or more interfering base stations that are different from the serving base station. The user device that detects downlink interference can determine an uplink radio resource set from a plurality of predefined uplink radio resource sets based, at least in part, on the detected downlink interference. The user device can then transmit to the serving base station a radio resource indication identifying the determined uplink radio resource set to facilitate uplink interference management.
Abstract:
Methods, computer readable media, and electronic devices are provided that enable data files to be transferred from a source device to one or more destination devices to share the data files. The method includes initiating a transfer of at least one data file to a destination device after detecting initiation of a file sharing session, the at least one data file being associated with the source device; after transferring at least a portion of the at least one data file, sending a first command to the destination device or receiving a second command from the destination device, the first command or the second command indicating an interaction with the at least one data file; and executing the interaction.
