    摘要: A photographic material comprising a support and at least one layer which comprises at least one spectrally sensitised silver halide emulsion, characterised in that the material contains at least one compound of formula and/or wherein R1 denotes H, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkenyl, heterocyclyl, R2 denotes OH, NH2, NHR7, NR8R9 or R1 together with R2, denotes the atoms necessary for the completion of a heteroaliphatic ring, R3 denotes OH, NH2, NHR7, NR8R9, R4 denotes H, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkenyl, heterocyclyl, R5, R6 independently of each other, denote OH, NH2, NHR10, NR11R12, or R4 together with R5, or R4 together with R6, denote the atoms necessary for the completion of a heteroaliphatic ring, and the R5 or R6 radical, which is not part of a ring, denotes OH, NH2, NHR10 or NR11R12, R7, R10 denote alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heterocyclyl, R8, R9 independently of each other, denote alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heterocyclyl, or R8 together with R9, denotes the atoms necessary for the completion of a heteroaliphatic ring, and R11, R12 independently of each other, denote alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heterocyclyl, or R11 together with R12, denote the atoms necessary for the completion of a heterocyclic ring, and wherein only one of the radicals R2 and R3 and only one of the radicals R5 and R6 can denote OH or NH2, is distinguished by increased spectral sensitivity, a high sensitivity/fogging ratio and a good shelf life under humid conditions.

    摘要: The production of tabular silver bromide-iodide emulsions and silver bromide-chloride-iodide emulsions with an aspect ratio 32, an iodide content from 1 to 40 mol % and a chloride content from 0 to 20 mol %, by the process steps of (a) silver halide nucleus precipitation, and (b) at least one further precipitation of silver halide, wherein rein at least one aromatic five- or six-membered, heterocyclic compound, which is free from—SH—,—SSO2H— and—SSO2R groups, is added in an amount from 10−9 to 10−4 mol/mol silver during nucleus precipitation or during the precipitation of an inner zone of the silver halide grain which is different from the nucleus precipitate, results in an improved speed/grain size ratio and in an increased stability of a photographic material which contains an emulsion produced in this manner.

    摘要: Emulsions having an improved sensitivity/grain ratio are obtained when a silver halide emulsion containing up to 20 mol % of AgI is prepared by the precipitation of a silver halide emulsion A containing up to 100 mol % of AgI and the addition of a silver halide emulsion B which contains up to 40 mol % of AgI, has an average grain size of at most 0.25 .mu.m and is always more soluble in aqueous gelatine solution than emulsion A either due to its grain size or due to its iodide content, this being carried out in the presence of at least two compounds selected from imidazole, histidine (.alpha.-amino-.beta.-imidazolyl-(5)-propionic acid) and other monocyclic, 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic compounds which have at least one ring nitrogen atom, are free from SH groups and form sparingly soluble silver salts in weak acid to neutral aqueous solutions, which salts redissolve at pH>9 when ammonia is added, one of the at least two compounds being imidazole or histidine and at least one other compound being a compound other than imidazole or histidine.
