    摘要: A vehicle-use head-up display system is provided, which has: a luminous display unit to display an image including information about a vehicle; a reflecting means to reflect light of the display-image of the luminous display unit; a translucent reflecting means arranged on a windshield ahead of a driver's seat, reflecting the light of the display-image from the reflecting means, and having a driver look at a virtual image on the windshield; a moving means to linearly move the reflecting means in a back-and-forth direction of the vehicle; and a display-image moving means to upwardly move the display-image of the luminous display unit in accordance with a backward movement of the reflecting means by the moving means and to downwardly move the display-image of the luminous display unit in accordance with a forward movement of the reflecting means by the moving means, wherein a display position is adjusted such that a depression angle does not change when an eye point in an eye range changes.

    摘要: One of two images is selectively displayed on a single displaying screen of a display 11. The light of the displayed image is reflected from a mirror 13a and a half-mirror 13b toward a first reflective area 21a or second reflective area 21b of a translucent reflecting film 21 which is located in a field of view ahead of a driver's seat. An optical path is exchanged so that when the one image is displayed by the display, only the light of the one image reflected by the mirror 13a is incident on the first reflective area 21a, whereas when the other image is displayed by the display, only the light of the second image is incident on the second reflective area 21b. Two images are reflected from the translucent reflecting film 21 and visually recognized as a single virtual image ahead of a windshield 20 by a driver. In this configuration, a head-up display capable of displaying a larger image can be installed in a vehicle without being upsized.

    摘要: The cover unit for a head-up display disposed in a vehicle opens and closes an opening which passes beams of an image emitted from a displaying device toward a screen. The displaying device is disposed in the dashboard, and the image is superposed on a foreground of the vehicle to be visible from a driver's eye. The screen is located outside the dashboard. The cover unit has an intercepting plate for interrupting a view line directed from the eye toward the inside of the dashboard in a standing state of the intercepting plate. The intercepting plate is movable between the standing state and a lying state. The cover unit further has a cover body movable between a closed state and an open state of the opening. The cover body is hinged to the intercepting plate so that the cover body is folded up with the intercepting plate at the open state and the cover body is extended together with the intercepting plate in the closed state. The cover body has an upper surface treated to prevent reflection of an external beam in the open state as well as in the closed state.

    摘要: In a head-up display apparatus for a vehicle, an aspherical surface of a reflection mirror compensates a distorted projected image caused by non-planarity of a windshield at a predetermined projection area thereon. When moving an eye point of a vehicle driver, an adjustment mechanism moves a stopper pushing the reflection mirror to adjust a reflecting angle so that the reflection mirror reflects light beams to the projection area and the projection area reflects the light beams toward the eye range. During the angle adjustment, an urging member and the stopper hold the reflection mirror.

    摘要: A display device for a vehicle is provided, by which an attaching position thereof can be altered depending upon an attachment limiting condition of the vehicle. The display device includes: a display source provided in an instrument panel of the vehicle; and a prism provided on a light path between the display source and an aperture of the instrument panel and refracting display light of an image displayed on the display source backward in the vehicle, wherein the prism is formed in a shape inclined upward in a backward direction of the vehicle, wherein (a) a virtual image of the image projected on a projection area of a windshield of the vehicle, onto which area the display image from the prism is projected and (b) a front view of the vehicle to be seen from an eye point of the vehicle through the windshield are seen in a superimposed manner.
