    摘要: A rotary dry shaver includes an outer shearing foil supported on a head frame and an inner cutter holder having a center axis and carrying a plurality of inner blades in hair shearing engagement with the outer shearing foil. The inner cutter holder is operatively connected to a rotary drive shaft of an electric motor so as to be driven thereby to rotate about the center axis. The outer shearing foil is held movable in the direction of the center axis relative to the head frame, while the inner cutter holder is movable along the center axis relative to the rotary drive shaft so as to be floatingly supported thereby. The dry shaver is characterized in that the outer shearing foil is connected to the inner cutter holder by means of a pin extending along the center axis such that the outer shearing foil and the inner cutter holder are movable together along the center axis relative to the head frame as well as the rotary drive shaft. Whereby contact pressure between the inner blades and the outer shearing foil can be kept substantially at a constant level irrespective of the relative movement of the outer shearing foil to the head frame.

    摘要: A depilating device removes hairs from the skin of a user and includes a carrier mounting a series of movable and fixed pinching plates arranged along a carrier axis in an alternating relation and in a closely adjacent relation to form small clearances between the adjacent movable and fixed pinching plates for entrapping hairs therebetween. A drive means is connected to drive the carrier to move the movable and fixed plates about the carrier axis. The movable plates are operatively connected to a shuttle means which is movable together with the carrier about the carrier axis but are shiftable therealong relative to the carrier so as to displace the movable plates along the carrier axis to repeat clamping the hairs between the adjacent pairs of the movable and fixed plates as the carrier moves about the carrier axis, whereby plucking the hairs from the skin. Also included in the device is a positive-return cam means which is connected to the shuttle means and is caused to rotate relative to the shuttle means about a cam axis parallel with the carrier axis so as to shift it along the carrier axis for displacing the movable plates relative to the fixed pinching plates. The positive-return cam means is connected to the carrier through the shuttle means and the movable plates in such a mutual supporting relation as to restrict the movements of the positive-return cam means and the carrier relative to each other in the direction parallel to the carrier axis.

    摘要: A cutter head for an electric shaver comprises an outer shearing foil provided with a series of hair entrance slots arranged in a row. Cooperating with the outer shearing foil is an inner cutter assembly which includes at least one inner blade having a cutting edge elongated in a general direction of the length of each slot and is driven to move in relation to the shearing foil so that the cutting edge is in hair shearing relation with the row of the slots. Formed with the inner blade is a hair scooping projection which projects in a general direction of the movement of the cutting edge and define a sloping edge extending downwardly and outwardly from the cutting edge such that a long hair strands entering the slots can, as the inner blade advances, be slid or guide along the sloping edge up to the cutting edge where the strand is successfully sheared against the edge of the slot. The cutting edge is dimensioned to have its longitudinal ends positioned within the length of each slot so that the cutting edge is not in sliding engagement with the portion of the outer shearing foil other than the webs separating the adjacent slots. Accordingly, the resistance between the cutting edge and the shearing foil is reduced to enable a smooth shearing operation at a minimum power requirement. Also, the hair scooping projection proceeds along the row of the slots in advance of the cutting edge upon the movement of the inner blade in such a way as to straddle across the adjacent webs on both sides of each slot, thus preventing the cutting edge from falling into the slot.

    摘要: An inner cutter for electric shavers is disclosed. The inner cutter comprises a plurality of inner blades mounted on a base member to be driven to move in sliding engagement with an outer shearing plate having a number of perforations therein. Each inner blade has along its length the cutting edge of different configurations including at least a toothed edge so as to define a first cutting edge of a greater overall width determined by the amount of projection of the tooth in the direction of movement of the inner blade and a second cutting edge in the form of a straight edge or toothed edge of an overall width less than that of the first cutting edge. The first cutting edge is responsible for efficiently capturing and cutting long hairs into shorter ones, while the second cutting edge is for giving a close shave on the skin of a user. Accordingly, the long hairs can receive two different cutting operations at each inner blade so as to be in a close cut after being successfully captured. In such a manner, the above unique edge configuration enables the efficient cutting operation for both long and short hairs.
