摘要: A process for producing an oxirane compound by reacting an olefin with hydroperoxides in the presence of a catalyst wherein said catalyst is obtained by gelling a silicon compound of the following formula (1) (silicon compound (1)), a silicon compound of the following formula (2) (silicon compound (2)) and a titanium compound in water, alcohol solvent or mixed solvent of water and alcohol, removing a solvent in the resulted gel by extraction with supercritical fluid, then, performing drying and silylation treatment: Si(OR1)4 (1) (R2)mSi(OR3)4−m (2) (R1, R2 and R3 independently represent a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms. m represents an integer of 1 or 2.)

摘要: A process for producing propylene oxide which comprises reacting a raw material solution which is a solution of ethylbenzene hydroperoxide in ethylbenzene obtained by liquid phase autoxidation of ethylbenzene with propylene in the presence of a Ti-containing solid catalyst to give propylene oxide, said raw material solution being a solution prepared by washing a solution of ethylbenzene hydroperoxide in ethylbenzene obtained by liquid phase autoxidation of ethylbenzene with an aqueous alkali solution to bring a lactic acid concentration to 5 ppm by weight or less.

摘要: A method of purifying propylene oxide, which comprises subjecting the propylene oxide containing methyl formate as an impurity to extractive distillation using a hydrocarbon of 7 to 10 carbon atoms as an extractant with an extractive distillation column, adding water to the distillate from the overhead of the extractive distillation column to conduct oil-water separation, recycling the oil layer separated to the extractive distillation column, removing the aqueous layer outside the system thereby to obtain propylene oxide in which a methyl formate concentration is reduced as a bottom liquid of the extractive distillation column.
