摘要： A pulp feed for a paper making machine comprising a nozzle channel or duct for the flow of the pulp or the like and terminating at a movable permeable element. The pulp feed has a first section bounded by a lower lip closer to the permeable element and a more remotely located pivotable upper lip which is adjustable at its edge which is downstream with regard to the flow of the pulp. The pulp feed further includes a second section which is bounded, on the one hand, by the permeable element, and on the other hand, by a pre-lip which merges with the upper lip and is pivotably mounted thereat by means of at least one substantially plug-shaped part. The outlet end of the pre-lip is adjustable in relation to the permeable element. The plug-shaped part is only rotatably mounted at least at two locations which are removed from one another and at the remaining bearing locations the bearing means possesses a displaceability with play in a plane containing an appreciable component in the direction of the surfaces of the upper lip and the pre-lip, respectively, bounding the nozzle channel or duct.

摘要： The auxiliary roll of the separating system is located downstream of the main roll and is spaced from the main roll at a distance less than 0.25 times the diameter of the auxiliary roll and greater than the combined thickness of the two wires and paper web therebetween, e.g. a distance of 10 millimeters. A separating wall is located between the main roll and main wire on the upstream side to block the entry of air between the main wire and main roll. The spacing of the two rolls ensures a positive separation of the paper web on the main wire.

摘要： A headbox for suspension having an inlet, an outlet and a suspension guide within the headbox. The headbox provides three layers of suspension. A first transverse suspension supply distributor extending laterally across the headbox for supplying the middle layer of suspension. A second transverse distributor extending across the lateral width of the headbox, of a generally horseshoe shape for partially enclosing the first distributor and the legs of the U of the second distributor providing suspension for the outer two layers of the three layers. The suspension supply to each distributor is either from the same lateral side or from opposite lateral sides of the headbox. Each distributor tapers narrower in cross section from the suspension supply at one side toward the opposite lateral side. The guide in the headbox is at each of the three layers.

The carrier of the upper controlled deflection roll is arranged at a fixed position relative to the stand of the roll device. The carrier of the lower controlled deflection roll is adjustable in a variable manner into a working position relative to the stand of the roll device. Regulators are provided for the controlled deflection rolls, which serve for adjusting and holding the sleeves of the controlled deflection rolls at predetermined heights and for adjusting the carrier of the lower controlled deflection roll by means of a setting device into a working position.

For this purpose, the flow of the fiber stock suspension is controlled such that in the event of a change in the distribution of the fiber stock suspension across the web width, the horizontal component of the flow direction in the delivery slice remains, at all locations, always in the predetermined machine direction and thus transverse flows are avoided and the flow rate in the delivery slice has a predetermined profile.

摘要： Between an uppermost roll and a lowermost roll there are arranged intermediate rolls mounted with their axles in levers. These levers extend across the width of the roll stand of the calender and are vertically pivotably suspended at a pivot at the roll stand. Nip relieving devices act upon these levers and are supported at a support defining a support location at the roll stand. Each pivot is arranged at an associated bearing element which is elevationally adjustable and which is located at the rear side of the roll stand remote from the rolls. If the position of the intermediate rolls change in vertical direction, the related bearing elements are correspondingly individually and vertically displaced, so that the levers are brought into an essentially horizontal position at which the axles of the intermediate rolls and the pivots of the related levers are located in each case in a related horizontal plane. An advantageous construction has the bearing element vertically displaced along a guide by rotating a threaded spindle, to which the bearing element is individually engagable by a coupling device.

摘要： A hydraulic adjustment motor containing a piston-and-cylinder unit is provided at the roll surface of a roll to be moved to position the roll surface relative to another roll surface of a further roll. Each adjustment motor is arranged between the related roll surface to be moved and its related roll stand. A regulation device is arranged between a pressure source, the pressure chamber of the adjustment motor and a hydraulic medium vessel. This regulation device regulates impingement of the pressure chamber with different pressures up to the maximum pressure of the pressure source and regulates the outflow of a selected volume of the hydraulic medium out of the pressure chamber, correlated to the desired lowering of each roll surface, during lowering of the roll surface and for maintaining a residual volume of the hydraulic medium. Consequently, there is provided a defined relative position between the roll surfaces. This apparatus allows raising, relieving, lowering or holding of the work surfaces of the rolls in desired positions. The apparatus is suitable for rapidly moving apart individual rolls, such as intermediate rolls of the roll stack. By setting an appropriately reduced pressure in the pressure chamber the apparatus can take-up the weights to be relieved, for instance the overhanging or cantilever weights or marginal loads at the individual roll surfaces and to counteract the same.

摘要： In a wet press for dewatering a web of material, for instance a web of paper, a contact pressure device presses against a rotating roll and exerts a pressure which increases in the travel direction of the web of paper. For this purpose, several rows of contact pressure elements are arranged sequentially in the travel direction of the web of paper. In each row the contact pressure elements are arranged side by side transversely to the travel direction of the web of paper. In order to circumvent a differential dewatering at the location of the contact pressure elements and at the gaps between the contact pressure elements of a row, the contact pressure elements of successive rows are shifted or staggered in relation to one another transversely to the web of material such that they mutually overlap. This prevents the arisal of strips in the paper being processed.

The doffer felt is disposed in an unencumbered fashion over each of a plurality of consecutive suction breast rolls. Stripping of the wire from the paper web is aided by various suction devices or couch rolls at this latter point.
