摘要: A laser cutting method for a steel strip, includes cutting an end in a width direction of the steel strip including a joint obtained by joining a rear end of a preceding steel strip and a front end of a following steel strip by using a laser beam, wherein the steel strip is cut such that an interval between pieces of dross having an aspect ratio of 1.0 or more is set to 1.0 mm or more and an interval between dross having an aspect ratio of 1.0 or more and dross having an aspect ratio of less than 1.0 is set to 1.0 mm or more in the end in the width direction after cutting.

摘要: A method for producing a patterned stainless steel sheet with improved visual characteristics in the wavelength area of visible light including providing a deformed stainless steel sheet; performing a heat treatment on the deformed stainless steel sheet, wherein the heat treatment is conducted at a temperature of 900-1200° C.; performing a mechanical treatment on at least one surface of the heat treated stainless steel sheet; transferring the mechanically treated stainless steel sheet to a patterning process, wherein, in the patterning process, at least one side of the mechanically treated stainless steel sheet is patterned using a patterning roll having a surface with an emboss depth of up to 100 micrometers to provide a patterned stainless steel sheet; and performing a heat treatment on the patterned stainless steel sheet, wherein the heat treatment is conducted at a temperature range of 900-1200° C., wherein the mechanical treatment is carried out by blasting.

摘要: A device and a method for rolling a metal strip. A distance of the upper/lower backup roll at at least one point thereof from a predetermined upper/lower reference point is measured by an upper/lower sensor and the measured values of the sensors are sent to a control device. A strain of the roll stand is calculated using a mathematical model, taking into account the rolling force generated. By the control device, an absolute value of the roll gap and thus the resulting thickness of the rolling stock is determined by the control device on the basis of the measured positions of the backup rolls and the calculated strain of the roll stand.

At least either one of the obverse surface and the reverse surface is a processing object. A method for manufacturing a metal mask substrate includes reducing a thickness of the rolled metal sheet to 10 μm or less by etching the processing object by 3 μm or more by use of an acidic etching liquid, and roughening the processing object so that the processing object becomes a resist formation surface that has a surface roughness Rz of 0.2 μm or more, thereby obtaining a metal mask sheet.
