    摘要： A content providing system includes an information collecting device including a content collecting unit and a content providing unit, a plurality of relaying devices each configured to relay transmission of the collected contents provided by the content providing unit, and a terminal device connected to at least one relaying device so as to communicate therewith, the contents collected by the content collecting unit being transmitted by the content providing unit to the terminal device via the at least one relaying device. The content collecting unit collects contents in accordance with a predetermined collecting condition. Further, the content providing unit transmits the contents to the relaying devices, each content transmitted to the relaying device being relayed to the terminal device connected to the relaying device, a type of content transmitted to each relaying device being determined in accordance with a location of the relaying device.

    摘要： A network system includes a directory server configured to provide service definition information through a network, and a terminal device configured to receive the service definition information. The directory server may include a server communication unit, a service definition information storing unit configured to store main information and auxiliary information as part of service definition information, and a service definition information transmission control unit that retrieves the service definition information from the service definition information storing unit and transmit the same to the terminal device. The terminal device may include a terminal communication unit, an outputting unit, an input receiving unit and an output control unit. When received the service definition information from the directory server, the output control unit controls the outputting unit to output the main information, and when the input receiving unit receives a predetermined input instruction, the auxiliary information is output.

In the system, the image processing device includes a service search data transmission unit, a service determination unit, and a service requesting unit. The information supply unit including a service search data reception unit which receives the service search data transmitted from the image processing device; a presumption unit which presumes a probability that the image processing device requests the service supply unit to execute each of the services executable by the service supply unit based on the service search data received by the service search data reception unit and according to prescribed presumption rules; and a list supply unit which supplies the image processing device with one of a list generated by extracting services likely to be requested by the image processing device from the service supply unit from all the services executable by the service supply unit and a list generated by sorting the services executable by the service supply unit according to the probability that the image processing device requests the service supply unit to execute each of the services based on presumption result by the presumption unit, as the information on services executable by the service supply unit.

When the server receives the registration requesting information from the terminal device, the server transmits service information necessary for using the service. Further, the terminal device can transmit the service information to the peripheral device when it receives the service information from the server. Further, when the peripheral device receives the service information from the terminal device, the peripheral device stores the received service information and operates in a mode where the service is usable.

    摘要： In a communication system having a client and a server capable of communicating with each other via a network, the server can transmit a command to the client in response to a command request transmitted from the client to the server. The server may include a replying unit that transmits replaying data in response to the command received from the client in such a manner that (a) if there is a command to be transmitted to the client, replying data including the command is transmitted to the client, and (b) if there is not a command to be transmitted to the client, replying data, which does not include a command is transmitted to the client. Further, the replying unit may transmit the replying data without a command to the client when a no-command status lasts a predetermined standby period after receipt of the command request.

When the web page includes an input field and the data input in the input field is to be transmitted to a predetermined destination, the printing unit prints out an image having a fill-in area to be filled in by the user, and a destination area indicating the destination, on a second recording medium. The communication system includes a scan controller that controls the scanning unit to scan the second recording medium to capture an image thereof, a recognition system that recognizes contents written in the fill-in area and the destination area based on the scanned image, and a data transmitting system that transmits contents extracted from the fill-in area to the destination extracted from the destination area.
