    Abstract: An information processing system includes a first image forming apparatus and a second image forming apparatus connected to the first image forming apparatus over a network. The first image forming apparatus includes: a unit configured to transmit a request for a job process to the second image forming apparatus, a unit configured to receive an instruction to perform a job process transmitted from the second image forming apparatus, and a unit configured to perform the job process in accordance with the instruction to perform the job process. The second image forming apparatus includes a unit configured to receive the request for the job process transmitted from the first image forming apparatus, and a unit configured to transmit the instruction to perform the job process pertaining to the received request to the first image forming apparatus.

    Abstract: An information processing apparatus comprises: a holding unit that holds destination information as a data sending destination of a data sending apparatus; an obtaining unit that obtains data of a setting screen from the data sending apparatus; a determination unit that determines whether a program for displaying the destination information on the setting screen is included in the data of the setting screen obtained by the obtaining unit; a display unit that, based on that the determination unit determining that the program is included, obtains the destination information from the holding unit and selectably displays the destination information on the setting screen by executing the program; and a sending unit that sends the selected destination information to the data sending apparatus by accepting selection of the destination information via the setting screen displayed by the display unit.

    Abstract: Using face detection procedures, embodiments of the present invention can detect the presence of multiple of contacts within an image. Embodiments of the present invention can also associate the faces detected within the image with contacts belonging to a list of contacts stored on a mobile device. Additionally, embodiments of the present invention are operable to store contact information associated with recognizable contacts found into the image. In this fashion, upon rendering an image, the user can automatically call a contact in the image by clicking on the contact's image or can automatically create a conference call by clicking on more than one contact present in the image. Furthermore, embodiments of the present invention allow users to provide contact information manually during storage procedures for any unrecognized subjects found in the image. Furthermore, embodiments of the present invention can encrypt contact information stored within the image.
