摘要: Mobile unit 16 which can activate Java-AP software receives SDF (Security Descriptive File) 204 from administering server unit 18 which a trustworthy organization (a communication provider which administers mobile packet communication network 15) administers, and obtains ADF 205 from IP server unit 13 by using URL contained in the SDF, and obtains Jar file 206 from IP server unit 13 by using ADF 205, and installs in itself Java-AP containing these files. Java-AP, which is achieved by activating the installed Java-AP software, operates within the range of authorization expressed by policy information contained in SDF 204.

摘要: The present invention provides a means for determining authenticity of a combination of files which are downloaded to a mobile station, and which are related to one another. To achieve the stated object, in a system according to the present invention, mobile station 16, which is capable of running a Java-APP, receives an ADF from CP server device 12. Then mobile station 16 receives a SDF from trusted server device 18, which is identified by data contained in the ADF. Mobile station 16 calculates a hash value of certificate data contained in the ADF, and verifies whether the calculated hash value of the certificate data and a hash value of the certificate data which is contained in the SDF are identical to each other. Next, mobile station 16 receives a JAR file from CP server device 12. Mobile station 16 calculates a hash value of the JAR file, and verifies whether the calculated hash value of the JAR file and a hash value of the JAR file contained in the ADF are identical to each other.

摘要: An IP server sends e-mail to a mobile device MS. This e-mail includes an application specifier that specifies startup of a Java application stored in mobile device MS and a data specifier that includes data used in operations executed by mobile device MS in accordance with a Java application. On the other hand, the ADF for the Java application stored in mobile device MS includes trusted source data containing a plurality of e-mail addresses that indicate trusted origins. Mobile device MS compares the e-mail transmission origin address with the trusted source data. Mobile device MS, only in the case where the transmission origin address of the received e-mail is included in the trusted source data, starts up a Java application based on an application specifier included in said e-mail, and uses data included in said data specifier in operations executed by that Java application.

摘要: In an information providing system, a virtual three-dimensional space is established. Users of mobile communication terminals virtually move in the virtual space by manipulating an avatar representing the user and obtain advertisement information through electronic signboards. Users of information providing terminals place electronic signboards at appropriate positions in the virtual space and provide announcement information for the users of the mobile communication terminals. An information management server manages the announcement information provided by the information providing terminals and generates links each of which lead from advertisement information to other advertisement information. The information management server determines priorities for such links, based on use of advertisement information by the users of the mobile communication terminals. The information management server displays the links differently depending on the priorities. For example, a link to an announcement information item which is browsed more frequently is displayed more conspicuously than other links.
