Abstract: A method performed by a platform for real-time intake capacity assessment of a project includes routing, to a service desk, a request to assess capacity for the project. In response, an electronic message is communicated with a link to a form to retrieve structured information about the project. An assessment template is populated with structured information that includes feature-level information of the project (e.g., a level-of-effort (LOE) for developing a software product). The platform can dynamically estimate a capacity measure for the project, which is then used to generate a visualization on a dashboard based on the estimate of the capacity measure. As such, the platform enables better decision-making, planning, and prioritization.

Abstract: A method for providing an interactive interface for live event outcome selection and prediction may include generating a set of cells for an event. The set of cells may be provided to a client device to present in a user interface. A selection of a cell may be received from the client device. The selected cell may be assigned to a user account. The method may generate a coordinate for each cell in the set, wherein each cell coordinate includes a plurality of dimensions, each dimension corresponding to a different entity of the event, and wherein each cell coordinate is unique for the set of cells. The method may comprise calculating, prior to the start of the event, a probability that an event result represented by a cell coordinate will occur; and presenting the probability in association with the cell on the user interface. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A virtual desktop can be remoted to a client device by transmitting a video stream using a video coding format, such as H.264, where higher resolution video can be streamed than natively supported by the encoder or decoder. The encoder framebuffer is divided into a plurality of equal size child buffers, each child buffer is assigned an identifier for identifying the child buffer. Padding pixels can be added to the child buffers to make the child buffer size acceptable for the video coding format. The child buffers are encoded using the video coding format and the encoded frames are transmitted to a client. On the decoder side, the encoded child frames are decoded, padding pixels are removed, and the data is used to update corresponding child buffers in a framebuffer on the client display system.

Abstract: A monitoring system presents metrics or event data by monitoring state information of a computing system. In an embodiment, the monitoring system includes one or more processors that receive state information from an agent executing on the computing system. The state information describes a component of the computing system. In response to receiving the state information, the monitoring system generates aggregate state information based on the state information and prior state information previously received from the agent. The state information and prior state information may correspond to the same time period. The monitoring system generates subscribed state information from the aggregate state information. The subscribed state information is a subset of the aggregate state information selected using instructions of a client. The monitoring system sends the subscribed state information to the client to cause an update in a user interface presented by the client.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a service identifies a performance issue exhibited by a first device in a first network. The service forms a set of one or more time series of one or more characteristics of the first device associated with the identified performance issue. The service generates a mapping between the set of one or more time series of one or more characteristics of the first device to one or more time series of one or more characteristics of a second device in a second network. The mapping comprises a relevancy score that quantifies a degree of similarity between the characteristics of the first and second devices. The service determines a likelihood of the second device exhibiting the performance issue based on the generated mapping and on the relevancy score. The service provides an indication of the determined likelihood to a user interface associated with the second network.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to computer systems and methods of re-synchronizing playback of a live media stream with execution of a stream of out-of-band commands, where the commands and media stream are transmitted through different network pathways. The systems and methods, at a multimedia player, retrieve a command manifest file from a publishing server or CDN and parse the location of the media stream from the file. The systems and methods load and buffer the media stream from the parsed location and start playback of the media stream. The systems and methods monitor current playback time of the live media stream. The systems and methods also poll the user-initiated commands appended to the command manifest file. The systems and methods determine whether to execute a user-initiated command of the polled user-initiated commands in a user interface of the multimedia player based on the monitored current playback time.
