摘要: A photocatalyst which has high catalytic activity, is nontoxic, has a long life, can utilize visible light as it is for photocatalytic reactions, and is useful especially for hydrogen generation; and a process for producing the same. The photocatalyst comprises cadmium sulfide, has a capsule structure, wherein platinum is supported thereto. It can be obtainable by bubbling H2S gas into a liquid to which particles of cadmium oxide have been added.

摘要: A magnetic metal powder having fluidity is provided which is composed of FePt nanoparticles synthesized by the polyol synthesis method that possess fct (face-centered tetragonal) structure and exhibit crystal magnetic anisotropy from immediately after synthesis. Specifically, there is provided a magnetic metal powder having fluidity which is composed of magnetic metal particles whose main components and the contents thereof are represented by the following general formula (1): [TXM1-X]YZ1-Y (1), where T is one or both of Fe and Co, M is one or both of Pt and Pd, Z is at least one member selected from the group composed of Ag, Cu, Bi, Sb, Pb and Sn, X represents 0.3˜0.7, and Y represents 0.7˜1.0, the balance being impurities unavoidably incorporated during production, which magnetic metal powder has a volumetric ratio of ferromagnetic structure (face-centered tetragonal ratio) as measured by Mossbauer spectroscopy in the range of 10˜100%, saturation magnetization σs of 20 emu/g or greater, and average primary particle diameter by transmission electron microscopic observation (TEM) of 30 nm or less.

摘要: An X-ray spectrometer having a curved crystal monochromator which diffracts a continuous X-ray beam from an X-ray source to produce a monochromatic X-ray beam. An angle of incidence of the continuous X-ray beam can be changed with respect to the monochromator so as to change the wavelength of the monochromatic X-ray beam which is focused on and taken out from a receiving slit. The X-ray source, the monochromator and the receiving slit must be positioned always on a Rowland circle. The X-ray source and the monochromator can be moved so that the angle of incidence changes, while the receiving slit remains always stationary and the direction of an X-ray path from the center of the monochromator to the receiving slit remains always constant. Such an X-ray spectrometer is usable as an X-ray irradiation system of XAFS (X-ray Absorption Fine Structure) apparatus so that XAFS measurements require no movement of the sample.
