摘要： An approach that manages a service oriented architecture (SOA) shared service that fails to meet a set of objectives of the SOA shared service is provided. In one embodiment, there is a management tool, including an evaluation component configured to receive a SOA shared service that is developed as part of a potential SOA shared services project, and evaluate whether a set of objectives of the SOA shared service has been met; and a determination component configured to determine whether the SOA shared service should be developed in the case that the set of objectives of the SOA shared service has not been met.

Each of a plurality of governance dimension attributes of a service-oriented architecture are calibrated and mapped to each of a plurality of governance evolution element attributes. A maturity and capability assessment is performed for the service-oriented architecture as a function of the mapping, and a maturity-based and capability-based governance model is generated for the service-oriented architecture as a function of the maturity and capability assessment. In one aspect a programmable device is configured to perform at least one of the calibrating, the mapping, the performing the maturity and capability assessment and the generating the maturity-based and capability-based governance model.

摘要： Methods, including service methods, articles of manufacture, systems, articles and programmable devices are provided for managing the evolution of a service-oriented architecture service over a service lifecycle. An implemented SOA service is evaluated with respect to each of a plurality of line-of-business business-scope attributes and to each of a plurality of different line-of-business functionality attributes. Sets are determined of each of the business-scope attributes and different functionality attributes, wherein each attribute of each determined set is applicable to the implemented service as a function of the evaluating. Sets of business attribute-service evolution factors and technical attribute-service evolution factors associated with the respective determined attribute sets are selected, and both of the sets of selected business attribute-service evolution factors and technical attribute-service evolution factors are used to re-factor the implemented service into a mature enterprise service in response to a service revision.
