摘要: A printed item contact member 54 according to the present invention includes: a base material 50; a fixing layer 52 that is formed on the surface of the base material 50 and substantially spherical particles 51 are fixed thereto; and a remarkably thin low-surface-tension coating layer 53 that covers the surface of the fixing layer 52 having the substantially spherical particles 51 fixed thereto and that exhibits release properties with respect to a printed item. The printed item contact member exhibits high ink repellency while maintaining the micro-uneven surface structure and is free from adhesion of yarn waste or dust to the member during cleaning, and therefore can be suitably used as, for example, a member for printing device in contact with the surface of printing paper.

摘要: A developing device having a developing sleeve opposed to a photoreceptor, and a developer transport portion adjacent to the sleeve. The developer transport portion is divided into first and second portions by a partition, and the developer is circulated between the first and second portions. A fresh toner is supplied to the developer in the second portion to be transported to the first portion while being mixed, and thereafter is supplied to the sleeve along an axial direction of the sleeve in the first portion. The second portion is provided with a transport member by which the developer is transported at an upstream side of the second portion with respect to the developer transport direction in the second portion with a speed faster than the toner supply speed and the transport speed of the developer at a downstream side of the first portion with respect to the developer transport direction in the second portion.

摘要: A color separation system for use in a color copying apparatus including blue, green and red reflection filters as well as blue and green transmission filters. The blue and green transmission filters are disposed in front of the blue and green reflection filters, respectively, so that light passes through the transmission filters twice. The color copying apparatus includes a photosensitive member which is exposed with light passing through the color separation system, an image sensor for reading an image of an color original, and a light adjusting filter for adjusting a quantity of light impinging on said image sensor. The three reflection filters and the light adjusting filter are mounted on a rotary member. One of these filters is selectively positionable in an optical path according to the rotated position of the rotary member.

摘要: An image forming method and apparatus for forming a reproduced color image in which the sequence of supply of the toners of different colors onto the latent image carrier is selected according to the color information of the document to be copied. A controller is provided so as to control the various colored developers in a sequence in which the developers providing the different color toners are operated so that the second toner color overlaps the first toneer color and the first toner color can overlap on the second toner color through a series of colors.

摘要: Improvements in a magnification varying device for electrophotographic copying machine of the mirror scan type to eliminate the drawbacks to be encountered and resulting in degraded copy images when the magnification varying range is increased, such as objectionable operative connection between a projection lens and a deflection mirror, and leakage of undesired light between the lens and a light blocking member around the path of travel of the lens. The present device includes an eccentric cam having the largest radius at a position for giving an equal magnification to assure smooth transmission of drive force to the deflection mirror, and a second light blocking member provided at each side of the lens and opposed to the mirror for preventing the objectionable light not blocked by the above blocking member from reaching the mirror when the lens is qat a position for a reduced magnification.
