    摘要: In the image forming apparatus, a controller makes a reference image formed on an outer circumferential surface of an image carrier and transferred to a belt. Then, uncollected toner of the reference image, which is part of after-transfer remaining toner of the reference image that has missed being collected so as to remain even after one-round rotation of the image carrier, is transferred to the belt. The controller measures a collectable toner quantity corresponding to an applied voltage of the cleaning roller on a basis of an uncollected toner quantity estimated based on a toner concentration of the uncollected toner, and executes such adjustment that the collectable toner quantity becomes equal to or larger than a maximum value of the after-transfer remaining toner quantity and moreover the applied voltage becomes equal to or lower than a maximum applicable voltage.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member, a transfer unit having a transfer belt, a primary transfer roller, a secondary transfer inner roller below the primary transfer roller in a vertical direction, and a stretching roller, a secondary transfer outer roller, a support unit, and an air duct provided in the transfer unit. The secondary transfer outer roller faces the secondary transfer inner roller via the transfer belt and forms a nip portion for secondarily transferring a toner image on the transfer belt to a sheet. The air duct is located downstream of the nip portion in a sheet conveyance direction and below a portion of the transfer belt stretched between the secondary transfer inner roller and the stretching roller in the vertical direction. The air duct includes an air intake port and moves with the transfer unit with movement of the transfer unit from the support unit.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a latent image bearer, an intermediate transferor, a primary transferor, a second transferor, and a cleaning blade. The latent image bearer has a surface onto which a lubricant comprising zinc stearate is supplied. The intermediate transferor has a surface onto which the toner image is transferred, the surface including an adhering region to which the lubricant from the latent image bearer adheres. The cleaning blade cleans the surface of the intermediate transferor including the adhering region, after the toner image is secondarily transferred. In a region outside at least a horizontal A4 sheet passing width on the intermediate transferor, a ratio of a peak area derived from zinc stearate to a peak area derived from the intermediate transferor in a difference spectrum between attenuated total reflection (ATR) infrared absorption spectrums of the intermediate transferor in an unused state and after use is 0.892 or less.
