摘要: The present invention achieves an optical recording and reproducing apparatus focusing two opposed beams of light at a same place in an optical recording medium to record a standing wave generated by interference of the two beams of light. In the apparatus, phase information is recorded in the optical recording medium by a phase modulating means for modulating phase of one of the two beams of light. The reproduction reference light generated from a light source is allowed to interfere with reproduced light generated by projecting one of the two beams of light onto the optical recording medium to generate three or more beams of interfering light having different interference phases are simultaneously generated. The three or more beams of interfering light are then detected, and the phase modulated by the phase modulating means is demodulated from an output of the detector.

摘要: To solve the problem of deterioration in recording quality due to a change of a write waveform caused by changes of temperature and recording powers, aged deterioration and the like. A driver having a function of controlling rise/fall times and an overshoot amount of an optical waveform is used to optimize an optical waveform that changes in recording under the influence of a component of a laser and the like. Specifically, the rise/fall times and the overshoot amount of the optical waveform are optimized by obtaining a waveform control register value from test recording or a table.

摘要: A power adjustment method in which a modulation index is calculated from reproduced signals of patterns recorded by irradiating light onto an optical information recording medium with a recording power varied and an optimum power of irradiation light is set up using the modulation index. The power adjustment method includes calculating an optimum value PcO of a predetermined correction term Pc using a relation of a value obtained by subtracting the predetermined correction term Pc from the recording power and the modulation index, finding a value Pth of the recording power at which the modulation index becomes substantially zero in the relation of the value obtained by subtracting the optimum value PcO from the recording power and the modulation index, and setting up a value obtained by multiplying the value of Pth by a predetermined constant as a recording power of each of the recording patterns.

摘要: A write power adjustment method and optical read/write apparatus for accurate optimum write power setup. Different levels of write power Pwm are used to perform a test write and calculate a modulation Mm corresponding to each level of write power Pwm. Different write power compensated values Pcn are used to calculate an evaluated value Smn=Mm×(Pwm−Pcn). Pcn that maximizes the linearity of the relationship between compensated write power (Pwm−Pcn) and evaluated value Smn is determined as an optimum write power compensated value PcO. Compensated write power PthO that provides a modulation of zero, that is, an evaluated value SmO of zero, when the relationship between compensated write power (Pwm−PcO) for PcO and evaluated value SmO is subjected to linear approximation is determined. PthO and optimum write power compensated value PcO are used to calculate a write power threshold Pth=PthO+PcO. A predetermined calculation is performed on Pth to determine optimum write power Popt. In contrast to a conventional write power adjustment method (κ method), the present invention makes it possible to accurately adjust for the optimum write power even when the optical disc's write power Pwm-to-evaluated value M×Pw relationship is not linear or its modulation M varies.

摘要: In a recording system in which linear velocity during the write operation changes, it is difficult to obtain write strategy parameters in every linear velocity with trial writing. The optimum write strategy condition under the high speed or low speed operation is obtained with trial writing or the like and a value of power compensation is obtained from the frequency characteristic stored in the table. Fluctuation in performance of optical disk drive, deterioration by aging, and temperature characteristic can be compensated.

摘要: An assembly failure prevention device capable of effectively preventing assembly failure of assembly members onto a belt member. A tongue support device 20 of an assembly failure prevention device 10 includes a slide plate 40 having a fitting hole 42 conforming to the shape of a specific tongue plate 44. The slide plate 40 is guided by guide rail 28 and guide groove 34, and moves to a predetermined position for passing a webbing belt therethrough. If a wrong tongue plate 40 is fitted in the fitting hole 42, an insertion portion 50 of tongue plate 44 projects from the fitting hole 42. When the slide plate 40 moves in this state, the insertion portion 50 is interfered with by an end portion of the guide rail 28, and is dropped out of the slide plate 40.
