摘要： A system is disclosed for providing a backup power supply for a security gate system. In a preferred embodiment it includes a primary power supply, an AC motor and an auxiliary DC motor that share the same accessory devices including controller, movement mechanism, sensors, communication unit, etc. The auxiliary DC motor has its own independent DC power supply. If the primary power supply fails the auxiliary power supply takes over and moves the barrier between the open and closed positions as needed without interruption of service.

摘要： A modular terminal block with one or more built in surge protectors is disclosed. The terminal block contains all of the surge protection devices for a security or other type of system. The connectors of the terminal block also have indicia on the connector pairs of the terminal block that match the connectors of the terminal block with the connectors of the system to which the surge protector is to be connected. The identifying indicia on the connectors pairs provides for the easy identification of the proper interconnections between the terminal block and the system it is designed to protect.

摘要： A device and method is provided for sensing an object or vehicle in proximity to a sensing zone, wherein the device is exposed to an environment temperature. The object sensing device comprises a sensor, such as an inductive loop having a characteristic, such as the inductance of the inductive loop, responsive to the proximity of the object is to the sensor; a signal generator, such as an oscillator, coupled to the sensor for producing a first periodical signal cycling at a first frequency dependent on the sensor characteristic and the environment temperature. A de-coupling mechanism for de-coupling or isolating the sensor from the signal generator so that the signal generator produces a second periodical signal cycling at a second frequency dependent on the environment temperature, but not substantially dependent on the characteristic of the sensor; and a device for producing a temperature-compensated response indicative of whether the object is in the sensing zone from the first and second periodical signals or their respective frequencies. Using the temperature-compensated object or vehicle sensing device, a gate operating system and a vehicle driver stimulus device is also provided herein.

摘要： Cleansing bar compositions having high water content comprise: (a) at least about 15%, by weight of the composition, of water; (b) from about 40% to about 84%, by weight of the composition, of soap; and (c) from about 1% to about 15%, by weight of the composition, of inorganic salt. The bar compositions further comprise a component selected from the group consisting of carbohydrate structurant, humectant, free fatty acid, synthetic surfactants, and mixtures thereof. The bar compositions preferably have a Water Activity (“Aw”) of less than about 0.95, preferably less than about 0.90, and more preferably less than about 0.85. The bar compositions are preferably manufactured by a milling process.

摘要： An independent back memory module is disclosed that is permanently installed at a security gate installation. The memory module has a nonvolatile memory and it is positioned within the system so that it automatically has a communication link with any gate controller installed. The memory module records a history of the operation of the system. The memory module retains operational information regarding the system and information identifying the gate controller, gate controller board and the setup of the particular installation. The memory module also retains information regarding changes made in the setup of the system. Whenever a new gate controller board is installed information in the memory module is transmitted to the new controller board.
